Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are all closely monitoring Semenyo’s situation at Bournemouth, as per multiple reports, although Liverpool are determined to win the race for his signature in 2026.

Arne Slot’s side spent a whopping €482.9m on new signings this summer - the most any club in history has ever spent in a single transfer window - but they remain eager to bolster the attacking options available at Anfield.

Semenyo has been identified as the Reds’ preferred replacement for Mohamed Salah, who continues to be linked with a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia, and they have now lodged an official bid to Bournemouth.

That is according to renowned X account IndyKaila, who has revealed that Liverpool have presented a €74m (£65m) offer for Semenyo as they look to bring the 25-year-old to Anfield in 2026.

It’s reported that Semenyo’s current contract at Bournemouth, which was signed this summer, includes a “special clause” that can be triggered by three English clubs and Liverpool are pushing to finalise a deal for the Ghana star.

Furthermore, it’s understood that Semenyo wants to complete a blockbuster move to Liverpool next year.

Antoine Semenyo comments on transfer speculation

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of Bournemouth’s 3-1 defeat to Manchester City last weekend, Semenyo was asked about the significant transfer interest in his services from across the Premier League and he was eager to downplay rumours of an exit.

“I don't think about it too much,” he replied. “I try to stay present as much as I can. You see the news all the time, I see it as well, I'm not oblivious, but I try to keep focused.

“I'm enjoying my football here. If I'm not scoring goals, all of that goes away. I try to stay present, do the best I can for the team, score goals and whatever happens in the future happens.

Semenyo added: “When they [Ilya Zabarnyi, Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez and Dango Ouattara] all left [in the summer], there was a lot of interest and back and forth with the club.

“But I knew in my head that the manager's got something up his sleeve this year. How we finished off the season last year was so good and we could continue, especially with the players we've bought in as well.

“I wasn't too sure at the start but we've kicked on like a house on fire. I'm glad I committed to staying here because I'm enjoying every moment.”
