Jurgen Klopp has agreed to take what is already his third job since leaving Liverpool last summer.

The legendary manager departed the Reds in summer 2024 to make way for Arne Slot after a trophy-laden decade at Anfield. Klopp had established himself as one of the Premier League's best-ever coaches and departed Merseyside as a beloved figure.

It initially seemed as though he would spend at least a full year recharging his batteries, but it didn't take long before his new job was announced, and it certainly ruffled some feathers.

Just a few months after his Liverpool exit, Red Bull announced that the 58-year-old would become the energy drink giant's Head of Global Soccer starting from January 2025.

In his role, Klopp oversees the development of Red Bull's many teams, namely RB Leipzig - Germany's most unpopular club - RB Salzburg, New York Red Bulls, Red Bull Bragantino and new acquisitions Paris FC and RB Omiya Ardija.

Klopp lands two new jobs

Although Klopp is travelling a lot in his job with Red Bull, he is primarily an advisor and, as such, is not as involved in the day-to-day running of Red Bull's clubs as one may think.

He therefore seems to have enough downtime to do other things, and it has just been announced that he has agreed to take what will already be his third job since leaving Liverpool.

MagentaTV, the German Telekom's subscription sports channel, has revealed that Klopp will work as a pundit for their coverage of the upcoming 2026 World Cup, some 20 years after he won plaudits for his punditry during the 2006 World Cup.

Klopp is not the only big name Magenta has managed to recruit for FIFA's showpiece event in the USA, Canada and Mexico as Vancouver Whitecaps star and Bayern Munich legend Thomas Muller will also be a pundit next year.

That is not Klopp's only new job, though, as it was announced last month that the former coach will also now work as an advisor to the Bundesliga's governing body, the DFL.

The DFL is planning to employ the expertise of notable football personalities such as Klopp and 2014 World Cup winner Sami Khedira, now a commentator for DAZN, to develop its structure and to shape the future of German football.

"The expert group will focus on topics including the training and integration of talent, as well as the further development of club standards and structures," an official statement read.

"Initial findings are expected to be discussed in the league committees in spring 2026 and subsequently with all 36 clubs." 2026 is shaping up to be a busy year for Klopp.
