The England U21 international was on the verge of joining Fulham on a permanent deal on Transfer Deadline Day this summer, however Marco Silva’s side surprisingly withdrew their offer at the last minute and the move collapsed.

George has since been welcomed back into the Chelsea first-team and he has racked up eight appearances across all competitions so far this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist.

The 19-year-old has started both of Chelsea’s Carabao Cup fixtures in a centre forward role this campaign, while he was also given the nod during their 1-0 victory over Benfica in the Champions League in late September.

However, he is yet to start a Premier League game this term and he was excluded from the Blues’ matchday squad entirely for their win against London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening.

The Daily Mail have revealed that Chelsea plan on holding talks with George ahead of the January transfer window, with an exit on the cards, while The Mirror report that Crystal Palace are among the clubs interested in signing him.

The Eagles sold star attacker Eberechi Eze to Arsenal over the summer and although his replacement Yeremy Pino has impressed since his arrival, they remain eager to bolster the forward options available to Oliver Glasner in 2026.

Tyrique George to leave Chelsea?

George has registered 12 goal contributions in 34 senior matches for Chelsea, but the club were willing to sanction a permanent exit on Deadline Day and a departure seems increasingly likely next year.

The Blues signed Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens as options in his natural position as a left winger this summer, while the return to fitness of Liam Delap means the teenager is set to drop down the centre forward pecking order.

Furthermore, with Geovany Quenda and Emanuel Emegha both joining Chelsea next year, George may be offloaded to ensure the west London giants comply with financial regulations.
