Chelsea are reportedly set to battle Arsenal and Manchester City for the signing of Poland wonderkid Oskar Pietuszewski after holding “preliminary discussions” with his representatives.

The 17-year-old left winger has established himself as a key player for Jagiellonia this season, racking up 25 first-team appearances, and his development has attracted the attention of several Premier League clubs.

Pietuszewski, who has four goals and two assists in six caps for Poland U21s this campaign, is regarded as one of his nation’s top young prospects and Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City have all sent scouts to watch him in action in 2025-26.

That is according to TEAMtalk, who claim that all three clubs have held “preliminary discussions” with the teenager’s representatives and are now prepared to launch formal approaches in January.

Jagiellonia are aware of the increasing interest in their prized young attacker and they have set their minimum asking price at €15 million.

That would represent a major coup for the Polish club, whose record sale currently stands at €4m, courtesy of Patryk Klimala’s move to Celtic in January 2020.

Pietuszewski’s contract at Jagiellonia is due to expire in 2027, but club officials are said to be relaxed about his situation ahead of the January transfer window as they are aware that a mid-season sale would generate significant funds.

The teenager is reportedly open to completing a move to the Premier League next year, although he is keen to prioritise first-team game time, meaning a move to a top English club may not be the best decision.

Chelsea to sign Oskar Pietuszewski?

Pietuszewski is the latest wonderkid to be identified as a key transfer target for Chelsea, who recently agreed a deal in principle to sign Ecuador youngster Deinner Ordonez when he turns 18 years old.

Meanwhile, teenagers Geovany Quenda, Denner and Dastan Satpaev will all join the Blues next year, following pre-agreed deals, as will 22-year-old Strasbourg striker Emanuel Emegha.

Furthermore, it’s reported that Chelsea remain interested in signing a new central midfielder in 2026, with the west London giants linked with both Elliot Anderson and Adam Wharton in recent weeks amid Romeo Lavia’s ongoing injury issues.
