Arsenal made Yildiz enquiry

Arsenal have made contact with superagent Jorge Mendes to discuss a potential deal for Juventus attacker Kenan Yildiz, whose contract talks continue to prove difficult.

Mendes has been mandated by Yildiz's parents to handle the 20-year-old's affairs, and he is not making life easy for Juventus. However, the Serie A giants are still well protected as the Turkey international is under contract until 2029.

Juventus will continue to push for a positive resolution with the €100 million-rated attacker, but Arsenal and Chelsea are lurking and waiting for the outcome of the next round of talks.

Arsenal are expected to reach an agreement with Bukayo Saka on a new contract very soon, according to transfer insider David Ornstein. Talks have been ongoing for several weeks.

Saka is happy to stay at Arsenal, and the club are desperate to tie their talisman down to a deal beyond 2027. He is expected to become the Gunners' best-paid player when he signs his deal.

In addition to the winger, Arsenal are also planning to hand an extension to right-back Jurrien Timber and star midfielder Declan Rice.

Havertz to leave Arsenal?

Arsenal will likely have to make some significant sales next summer to balance the books following this year's spending spree. Among the players potentially on the chopping block is Kai Havertz.

Despite being arguably one of Mikel Arteta's most important players, the oft-injured attacker may be sacrificed. With a contract until 2028 and aged 27, Havertz would likely fetch the Gunners a very handsome fee.

The need to cash in could become more urgent if Arsenal target another striker, such as Porto star Samu Aghehowa, who has been heavily linked with the North London club in recent days.

Man Utd have entered the race to sign Stade Rennais defender Jeremy Jacquet after he reportedly turned down a move to Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

The highly-rated 20-year-old has had a €40 million price tag slapped on his head, which Man Utd are said to be ready to match. Scouts have been left hugely impressed by the youngster.

It remains to be seen if Arsenal are still interested in the France youth international, but they appear well-stocked in the defensive department following the summer signing of Cristhian Mosquera.

Como boss Cesc Fabregas has played down suggestions that Real Madrid have already decided to re-sign Nico Paz in 2026 by utilising their buy-back clause.

The Argentine youngster, one of the breakout stars of the 12 months in Serie A, has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, but Real Madrid have the final say over his future.

It has been claimed that Los Blancos already decided in September that they would activate their buy-back option next summer, but Fabregas claims that no such decision has been made. He even suggested that Paz could stay at Como for another year.
