Arsenal are reportedly expected to pursue a new left winger next summer, despite the recent arrivals of both Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke.

Mikel Arteta’s side were linked with a number of high-profile left-sided attackers throughout the 2025 summer transfer window, however they eventually settled on bringing in Madueke, who favours the right, and Eze, who is best in more central areas.

As a result, the club are expected to dip back into the market in search of forward reinforcements next year.

That is according to transfer news expert Graeme Bailey, who told Arsenal Insider: “I still think Arsenal will in 2026, I think they will sign a new left winger. I do.

“Obviously, Rodrygo is somebody we looked at before, and I think Rodrygo is going to be on the radar again. His game time at Real has been limited; he started one game in La Liga.

“By the same token, I think we’ll probably talk about Nico Williams again. We’ll probably talk about Raphinha again, and we’ll talk about [Antoine] Semenyo. There’s nobody better than him in the Premier League at the moment. Could you see Semenyo on the left in Arsenal’s team? I could.”

PlayerEstimated Transfer Value (ETV)
Raphinha (Barcelona)€107m
Rodrygo (Real Madrid)€100.5m
Nico Williams (Athletic Club)€71.2m
Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth)€45.3m

Arsenal to sign a new left winger?

In addition to the aforementioned Eze and Madueke, who have both already been deployed on the left by Mikel Arteta this season, Arsenal also have Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli as options on the opposite flank to Bukayo Saka.

The former netted the winner versus Fulham on Saturday evening, while the latter has already made telling contributions versus Athletic Club, Manchester City and Olympiacos so far this season.

However, Arsenal are reportedly still eager to sign a new left winger in 2026, and they have seemingly identified Raphinha, Rodrygo, Williams and Semenyo as their four priority transfer targets.

All four players were linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer, but they opted to remain at their current clubs for at least another season rather than join Arteta’s side before Transfer Deadline Day.

Semenyo, in particular, is expected to move clubs in 2026, with the Bournemouth star registering nine goal contributions in just eight Premier League matches at the start of the new campaign.
