Nice head coach Franck Haise has called on INEOS to provide clarity on their commitment to the club amid ongoing radio silence from the Manchester United owners.

The Ligue 1 outfit have been part of Sir Jim Ratcliffe's footballing network since 2019, but INEOS' ownership of the club has increasingly come under fire in France.

Prior to last year, supporters frequently accused INEOS of lacking the ambition they promised to show when they arrived in the South of France. Since then, the relationship has only worsened due to Ratcliffe's acquisition of a stake in his boyhood club Man Utd.

INEOS have focused all of their attention on the Red Devils' men's team, and they relinquished complete control of Nice last season due to both clubs qualifying for the Europa League.

Despite now being able to run Nice again, INEOS have left the French outfit to their own devices, which has become a major source of frustration for those involved with the Ligue 1 side.

Nice boss wants clarity

Some reports in France have asserted that Nice are content with being run independently, but as head coach Franck Haise has now pointed out, there has been pretty much complete radio silence from INEOS over the summer, leaving the entire operation in limbo.

"Lots of us are waiting for the owners to speak," he said ahead of Saturday's clash with Nantes. "I hope that it will happen. But it isn’t my subject. My subject is the players, the staff, the matches, and the season. It is the only thing I can impact. The subject of the owners isn’t mine.”

Haise's comments come after sporting director Florian Maurice described Nice's summer window as 'unpleasant' in an interview with L'Equipe at the start of the month.

“I spoke with Manchester United during the transfer window in order to try and find solutions," Maurice revealed. "We envisaged things, like asking them to sign a player and then loaning him back to us, but their priority was to sell.”

Earlier this year, Ratcliffe openly admitted that he has little interest in Nice at this point and does not enjoy attending the club's games. Unsurprisingly, then, INEOS are said to be exploring a potential sale of the French side.
