Liverpool tipped to break transfer record AGAIN with €160m Salah replacement
Liverpool could reportedly submit a €160 million offer in order to sign Bayern Munich superstar Michael Olise next summer.
The Reds broke their transfer record on two occasions during the 2025 summer transfer window - on Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak - amid an immense spending spree that saw Arne Slot backed with €484.7m worth of investment.
However, Liverpool could be set to break their own transfer record yet again with the addition of Olise next year.
The Frenchman has been identified as the Reds’ dream long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, as per multiple reports, and German outlet Absolut Fussball claim that “it would not be a surprise” if Liverpool submit an offer worth €150m or €160m in 2026.
Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City have also been tipped to lodge a bid of that magnitude for the former Crystal Palace superstar, although Liverpool appear to boast the strongest interest as things stand.
Olise scored 20 goals and provided 23 assists in 55 appearances across all competitions during his debut season at Bayern Munich and he has now established himself as an integral member of the starting XI for the France national team.
His current contract at the Allianz Arena is due to expire in 2029 and recent rumours suggest that Bayern are eager to tie him down to a new long-term contract in order to ward off interest from a plethora of top clubs across Europe.
Real Madrid competition
Real Madrid have also been strongly touted as a potential destination for Olise and reports from Spain indicate that Kylian Mbappe has personally asked Los Blancos to sign his France team-mate next summer.
However, a move is currently unlikely given that Xabi Alonso already has Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Brahim Diaz, Franco Mastantuono and even Arda Guler as options on either flank.
