Man City receive €130m bid for Phil Foden
Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr have reportedly submitted a €130 million offer for Manchester City star Phil Foden.
Foden, 25, only has two years remaining on his current contract at the Etihad Stadium and rumours of a potential exit have arisen throughout the past few months amid a slightly uncertain future at his boyhood club.
The England international, who has only featured for his country on four occasions since the Euro 2024 final defeat to Spain, has been identified as an ideal target by Al-Nassr as they look to bolster the squad around Cristiano Ronaldo in a bid to win the Asian Champions League this year.
Foden endured a difficult 2024-25 season and he has lost his place as a guaranteed starter under Pep Guardiola, despite the departure of Kevin De Bruyne following the expiration of his contract at the start of July.
As a result, Al-Nassr have tested Man City’s resolve with a €130m bid, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes. However, the eight-time Premier League champions aren’t willing to entertain a sale before the Saudi Arabia transfer window closes on 23 September.
Phil Foden to leave Man City?
Al-Nassr have already strengthened their forward line with the additions of both Joao Felix and Kingsley Coman so far this summer, but they are still reportedly eager to bring Foden to the club.
Despite this, a transfer is currently extremely unlikely.
Foden won the PFA Player of the Year award after a stellar 2023-24 campaign, in which he fired Man City to the title, but he struggled for England at the European Championship and he is yet to rediscover his best form.
The 25-year-old still registered 20 goal contributions in 49 appearances across all competitions last season, but he only started 20 Premier League matches amid immense competition for places at Man City.
