Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has picked the “dream” move he will make when his time comes to leave the Etihad Stadium.

Haaland continues to be a team leader for Pep Guardiola’s side, having netted six Premier League goals in five appearances this season. The latest of these came on Sunday against Arsenal, when he streaked through the centre of the defence to score the opening goal in a 1-1 draw.

But despite his immense individual success at City, plus a 10-year contract he signed around 12 months ago, the Norway international continues to be linked with a move away.

Haaland’s next move ‘logical’

Haaland could leave for a “special” price next summer after growing "disgruntled" with life at Man City, according to reports in Spain, which link Barcelona and Real Madrid with the player.

Now he has decided on where he would like to play his football when he leaves Manchester, TBR Football claims.

“As it stands, it can’t be ruled out he spends his whole career at the Etihad, given how content he is, but there is a ‘dream’, an ambition to play in Spain one day – for a Real Madrid or Barca, that is logical. I do believe from speaking to people close to his camp that he will play in La Liga at some point,” transfer insider Graham Bailey claims.

While it is added that any transfer is unlikely to be as imminent as the Spanish press might wish, City have been sent a warning that what Haaland wants, he tends to get.

“Haaland’s career has been near perfection in terms of choosing his path… from Molde to Salzburg and then Dortmund instead of Leipzig and then opting for his father’s former club Manchester City – who Haaland always dreamed of playing for,” Bailey says.

“Sources do not believe that a move will come anytime soon – his priority now is firing City to the Premier League and Champions League, and Norway to the World Cup finals next summer, he has a busy 2026 coming up.”
