There is 'no question' that Liverpool are interested in Bayern Munich superstar Michael Olise, who is quickly becoming one of Europe's best players.

The former Crystal Palace winger is coming off a brilliant debut season in the Bundesliga, and he has picked up right where he left off last term. Olise has scored four goals in four games for Bayern across all competitions so far this campaign.

For his country, too, Olise has begun to dazzle, starring in a somewhat unfamiliar role. The 23-year-old played as the No.10 behind Kylian Mbappe against Ukraine on Friday and was nothing short of brilliant.

L'Equipe has waxed lyrical about Olise in Tuesday's edition of the newspaper, and those who watched him in action against the Ukrainians are all in agreement: "He's pure class," as beIN Sport expert Patrick Guillou put it.

"He's a player you have to see in the stadium at least once in your life to understand what football is all about: his grace, his effortless control," he is also quoted as saying, while teammate Aurelien Tchouameni noted that football "is too easy for him."

'No question' Liverpool want Olise

Over the past two weeks, reports have emerged that Liverpool and PSG are already working behind the scenes toward a future move for the Bayern superstar. Suggestions that he has a release clause have been downplayed, however.

Liverpool, of course, are succession planning for a post-Mohamed Salah era, with the 33-year-old likely on his final contract with the Reds. According to journalist David Lynch, there is 'no question' that the Frenchman is on the Anfield club's radar.

“Yes, he is definitely a player Liverpool like," Lynch told the Anfield Index. "Liverpool have to get ahead in getting a replacement. You look at Olise, Premier League experience, the age of him, the fact he’s just absolutely brilliant, he would be a really good fit.

“It’s too early to make any guarantees, but there is no question that he is on Liverpool’s radar.”
