Arsenal are reportedly “strong contenders” to sign Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller in 2026, despite the recent additions of both Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard.
Stiller, 24, was heavily linked with a number of top European clubs during the recent summer transfer window, including Manchester United and Real Madrid, but he eventually remained at Stuttgart after their asking price of €60 million failed to be matched.

However, the Germany international has already been tipped to secure a transfer next year and Arsenal have now expressed their interest in his signature, as per The Express.
Mikel Arteta’s side amassed the largest net spend of any club in world football this summer, but their spending spree is set to continue, with Stiller earmarked as a key target.
The 24-year-old is one of several midfielders currently on Man Utd’s transfer wish-list, alongside the likes of Carlos Baleba, Lucien Agoume, Morten Hjulmand and Adam Wharton, but Arsenal are now considered to be the frontrunners to sign him.
Stiller remains content at Stuttgart and is unlikely to push for a transfer, however Arsenal are eyeing a potential deal for 2026.
Liverpool have also been linked with the Germany star in recent months, while The Express claim that Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Man Utd and Real Madrid are keeping tabs on his situation at Stuttgart too.
The midfielder made 47 appearances across all competitions last season, scoring four goals and providing 11 assists, and his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently stands at €51.7m. Meanwhile, he still has three years remaining on his contract at Stuttgart.
Arsenal to sign Angelo Stiller?
Although Arsenal are reportedly eager to add Stiller to their squad, it remains to be seen if he would accept a move to the Emirates Stadium given he may struggle for consistent game time in north London.
The aforementioned Zubimendi has immediately nailed down a starting berth alongside Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard, while Norgaard is expected to be his back-up in the defensive midfield role.
In addition, Mikel Merino, Ethan Nwaneri, Kai Havertz and Eberechi Eze are all options in a more advanced position in the middle of the park.
