Jackson ‘DEFINITELY’ returning to Chelsea – agent responds to shock Bayern announcement
Nicolas Jackson’s agent has responded to Bayern Munich’s controversial transfer claims that the striker will definitely return to Chelsea.
The Senegal international moved to the Bundesliga giants on Deadline Day in a loan move from the Blues – but only after late drama that nearly saw him recalled by the West London side.
Jackson pushed hard to get a switch to FCB, where he is expected to play as a backup to Harry Kane, with the option of also featuring on the left wing.
But his stay in Munich will be short, according to Bayern honorary president Uli Hoeness.
Speaking on Sunday, he claimed: “There will definitely not be a permanent contract. That only happens if he plays 40 games from the start, it will never happen.”
The agent of the 24-year-old has responded quickly via social media.
“Many talk but few tell the truth. That’s not the topic today,” Diomansy Kamara said, posting in French, on Instagram stories, seemingly in direct response to Hoeness.
“Our only priority is Senegal’s decisive match for World Cup qualification. This is a crucial moment for the entire nation.
“Our path, our ethics and our way of working are known: first as footballers, and today as advisors to African players.
“It is time for sacred union. The rest will be dealt with later in due time.
“End of story.”
Bayern’s current buy price for Jackson stands at €65 million, with the Germans having already paid nearly €15m to finance the one-year loan in the first place.
Why Nicolas Jackson wants permanent Bayern move
Jackson has found himself tumbling down the pecking order at Chelsea, who signed Liam Delap and Joao Pedro in the summer, hence his loan move to Bayern.
The Senegal striker is understandably keen to remain in Munich beyond his initial loan term purely because his chances of getting game time at Stamford Bridge appear to be slim. Chelsea have already lined up a promising young striker in the form of Emanuel Emegha to join them next season and also boast Marc Guiu in their ranks.
Starting 40 games, though, is a long shot given that Bayern only have 32 Bundesliga fixtures to play and Jackson is liable to be second choice to Kane.
What this does mean is that another transfer saga is likely next summer, although it is unlikely to be as dramatic as the one that took him to Munich this time around.
