Man Utd line up €180m double deal
Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane and Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba in 2026.
The Red Devils have spent €229.7 million on four new signings so far this summer and they are now in the early stages of planning their transfer targets for next year.
Kane, 32, has been heavily linked with an Old Trafford switch for several seasons and a move could finally take place in 2026 due to a reported release clause in his current Bayern contract.
The England captain only has two years remaining on his existing deal at the Allianz Arena, and he will be available for just €65m during the January transfer window, as per multiple reports.
Man Utd completed the lucrative signing of RB Leipzig centre forward Benjamin Sesko for an initial fee of €76.5m on 9 August, however they remain interested in bringing Kane to the club next year, according to Fichajes and Football Insider.
The 32-year-old has scored 85 goals and provided 26 assists in 96 appearances for Bayern, and he could potentially be signed as a player capable of easing the burden on Sesko’s shoulders.
Man Utd to sign Carlos Baleba in 2026?
In addition to Kane, Man Utd are also interested in signing Baleba next year. The Cameroon international has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer and multiple reports state that he is keen to join Amorim’s side, despite their failure to qualify for Europe last term.
However, Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler has insisted that he is “very, very confident” that Baleba will remain the AMEX Stadium this season, while the Seagulls are holding out for a fee of at least €116m (£100m) as they view him as a similar talent to Moises Caicedo - who joined Chelsea back in 2023.
As a result, Man Utd are prepared to delay their pursuit of Baleba until next summer, according to the Manchester Evening News, with Casemiro expected to leave the club upon the expiration of his contract.
