Man City sell England star

Manchester City have focused on signing players this summer, but Romano expects a big sale quickly.

On YouTube, he says: “Rico Lewis could be on his way out of Manchester City very soon. The player is open to moving to Nottingham Forest and they’re in negotiations with City. The first bid has been sent - €25m plus addons, City want more – so there’s still no agreement. Rico Lewis could be the next player to leave Manchester City in this summer transfer window.”

Paqueta seeks West Ham exit

Lucas Paqueta has been cleared of breaking gambling rules and is now seeking to take a big step forward in his career. Linked with Manchester City in previous months, the former Lyon ace has a big target in mind.

“After a difficult 24 months but now clear of all the accusations, Lucas Paqueta is considering his options to leave West Ham in this final two weeks or so of the transfer window,” Romano says.

“Why? After many years, he wants a fresh challenge. His priority is European football of the highest level. There’s the World Cup next year and he wants to be there with Brazil. He’s not keen on Saudi or a return to Brazil.”

Baleba to Man Utd is not over

Brighton may have resisted Man Utd’s approaches for Carlos Baleba, but Romano says the story is not over.

The Seagulls were adamant that the Cameroon ace is not for sale this summer.

Romano says: “United made direct club-to-club contact with Brighton for Carlos Baleba on Friday. They started the negotiations. And Man Utd received a very clear answer: not for sale. Man Utd expected the deal to be difficult but they found it bigger than that. Brighton don’t want to sell the player, they see Baleba as a crucial part of their project.

“Baleba was attracted by the Manchester United project even without European football. He’s keen on that chance. But he never told Brighton that he wants to leave. He’s still happy there. He’s not destroying his relationship with Brighton.

“Man Utd tried to understand if there was a number they had to reach with Brighton - £100-110m, whatever. The answer from Brighton was: no, the player is not for sale.

“Man Utd’s appreciation of Baleba won’t finish here. I don’t think Man Utd will say goodbye to him. I think he’ll remain in talks with Man Utd because he’s super appreciated by the coach. Ruben Amorim is a big fan on Baleba. I’m sure they’ll return to him in the future when it’s time because he’s a player really appreciated. They were prepared to do something big in terms of a proposal.”

Can Spurs sign Savinho?

Manchester City winger Savinho has emerged as a target for Tottenham Hotspur.

Romano explain the situation: “Pep Guardiola has not closed the door for Savinho to leave. If the player wants to go, we have to follow the situation.

“Tottenham remain interested in Savio. They know the agents are in London to have talks. It’s still a deal ongoing. At the moment, it’s difficult. Manchester City are rejecting the bids because they want to keep the player. It’s not an easy deal. Let’s see what’s going to happen.”

Donnarumma to Man City heating up

Savinho and Lewis are not the only players who might leave City soon; Ederson could well depart, leading to a big-money arrival. The rumours are only getting stronger.

“Remember, there’s a player who will not travel this weekend, and it’s not just Savinho. Pep says he’s injured. But also Ederson is not travelling,” Romano says.

“My understanding is that Galatasaray are in direct negotiations with Man City for Ederson. I know there are many denials and these stories, but I’m hearing the deal is concrete and serious.

“If Ederson leaves, remember the name of Gigi Donnarumma. He’s open to going to City. Donnarumma knows Man City and PSG have been in club-to-club contact since Monday. The price is too high, it’s still not worth Man City paying that much for a goalkeeper out of contract in one year and Ederson has to leave, but conversations are ongoing.”
