Juventus are hopeful that they will have completed the signing of Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho by Thursday, according to Italian media.

The Red Devils outcast is looking to leave Old Trafford once again. For the past two years, Sancho has found himself on the outside looking in at Man Utd.

After spending the second half of 2023/24 back at Borussia Dortmund, Sancho was loaned to Chelsea last term. However, the Blues couldn't agree terms with the 25-year-old and ultimately sent him back to Man Utd.

Juventus are long-term admirers of the former €85 million man and have been in talks with him and Man Utd for several weeks now. All parties appear keen for this deal to go through, but no agreement has as yet been reached.

Juventus have sought to low-ball their Premier League counterparts with bids worth just €10m and €17m. Unsurprisingly, a breakthrough is still pending, but there is optimism that a deal will be struck this week.

Sancho to sign for Juventus by Thursday?

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus boss Igor Tudor is keen to have another new recruit at his disposal before the Bianconeri start their pre-season on Thursday.

The Italian outlet claims that the most likely name to come in this week is Sancho, with Juventus' attempts to re-sign Randal Kolo Muani proving fruitless so far. The Transfers Podcast understands that Newcastle are now well placed to sign the Frenchman.

Sancho is said to be pushing for Man Utd to finally find common ground with Juventus, with the ex-England international even ready to forfeit a significant chunk of his salary to join the Old Lady.

Despite this, Sancho would still be among Juventus' top earners, so the Serie A giants are also seeking out potential alternatives should the package to sign the Man Utd flop prove too pricey.

However, Juventus have been aided financially in their endeavours to sign Sancho by Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen, who have agreed a €10 million deal to sign Bianconeri winger Samuel Mbangula, making the Belgium international their second-most-expensive signing ever.
