As exclusively revealed by FootballTransfers back in May, Jackson is on Man Utd’s radar and we have been told that talks are underway between the Red Devils and the player’s representatives over personal terms.

Jackson has emerged as a top target for Man Utd following Viktor Gyokeres’ decision to prioritise a move to Arsenal and although a formal agreement has not yet been reached, Ruben Amorim’s side are advancing in negotiations with Jackson’s camp.

Reports have indicated that Chelsea will demand a fee of €115 million (£100m) to sanction a sale this summer, but we have been informed they value Jackson at €81m (£70m).

Meanwhile, Chelsea remain interested in signing Man Utd outcast Alejandro Garnacho this summer, and the Argentina international’s name was brought up in preliminary discussions between the two clubs.

However, we understand that no official negotiations over a swap deal have taken place and Chelsea are yet to formally pursue a move for the 21-year-old.

Nicolas Jackson to join Man Utd?

Jackson is one of several strikers being monitored by Man Utd this summer, with Aston Villa star Ollie Watkins also on the club’s radar, as revealed by FootballTransfers in April.

The Senegal international has scored 30 goals in 81 appearances for Chelsea and although he still has eight years remaining on his current contract with the west London giants, a departure is on the cards this summer.

Jackson only racked up 98 minutes of action during Chelsea’s triumphant Club World Cup campaign this summer and he was an unused substitute in the final, with the aforementioned Pedro deployed from the start, and Delap replacing him in the latter stages.
