Fabrizio Romano Transfer News: Man Utd PUSHING to 'go big' for Sesko and Watkins

Football transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has dropped the latest updates from the market, with updates on Chelsea and Manchester United along with Benjamin Sesko, Rodrygo and Ollie Watkins.
Hato ‘expected’ to join Chelsea
Chelsea’s negotiations with Ajax to sign Jorrel Hato are ‘advancing very well’ and the youngster is ‘expected’ to join his new club in the coming days, while Marc Cucurella could be offered a new contract.
Romano said: “Hato did his part by telling Ajax management about his desire to be a Chelsea player as soon as possible. Now the two clubs are getting closer.
“Chelsea don't want to go over €40 million. Ajax want more, starting over €50m, but the solution can be found and so Hato is expected to be new Chelsea player in the next days. The player is really convinced about this opportunity.”
“Also on Cucurella, there were some stories about Al-Nassr but I am told there is no bid and nothing concrete. He is an important part of Chelsea’s project and I would not be surprised if they maybe try to discuss a new contract with him in the next months.”
Rodrygo to Tottenham TRUTH
Romano also confirmed there is ‘nothing advanced’ for Rodrygo to leave Real Madrid and it will be up to the player whether he leaves or not, although Tottenham are ‘not in the conversation’ for his signing.
Romano said: “Rodrygo is returning from his holiday after his agents had some conversation with Real Madrid about his future the conversations have started but it depends on Rodrygo who has to decide whether he wants to stay at Real Madrid or go and be a star elsewhere.
“Rodrygo loves the club. He is convinced that he can still be an important player for Real Madrid. At the same time, at the Club World Cup, he was basically constantly on the bench. So, Rodrygo needs to decide and it's not an easy decision.
“I can guarantee that all the clubs being linked at the moment are not close, are not in advanced negotiations with Rodrigo with Real Madrid. There were rumours about Tottenham. Tottenham are not in the conversation for Rodrygo. Tottenham is not something realistic to happen this summer. So, forget about that. In case he will decide to go, we will see all the options available.”
Man Utd chief pushing for Sesko
Benjamin Sesko will decide between joining Newcastle, who are ready to meet his and RB Leipzig’s demands, or Manchester United, with director Christopher Vivell playing an important part in negotiations.
Romano said: “Newcastle are ready if Sesko calls and says, "okay, I'm coming to join you.” Newcastle are ready to pay what Leipzig want and they are ready to pay what the player wants. On the other side, Manchester United are working on these deals financially to understand whether they can make it happen or not.
“Sesko will now take his time to consider all his options to decide what he wants to do with Newcastle with Manchester United. Many calls from Saudi but the player wants to stay in Europe.

Manchester United will decide whether to ‘go big’ for Sesko or move for Ollie Watkins despite a reluctance from Aston Villa to sell their star striker.
Romano said: “Last week Man United had a direct contact with Aston Villa. Villa want to keep Ollie Watkins. So it's not an easy deal.
