Manchester City are willing to submit a €170 million offer to re-sign Chelsea superstar Cole Palmer, according to a sensational report in Spain.

Palmer, 23, left the Etihad Stadium to join Chelsea on a permanent deal in 2023 and he has established himself as one of the world’s best players during his time in west London.

The England international registered 40 goal contributions in 45 games in his debut season at Stamford Bridge, while he continued his immaculate form under Enzo Maresca last campaign.

Palmer notably scored twice and provided one assist as Chelsea demolished Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in the Club World Cup final in July, and Man City are now set to mount a serious transfer pursuit.

That is according to a bombshell report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, who claim that Pep Guardiola wants to bring Palmer back to the club “at all costs.”

Man City are reportedly preparing a €170m bid for the 23-year-old, although Chelsea are unlikely to sanction a sale as he is seen as one of the club’s “untouchable players”, along with Moises Caicedo and Levi Colwill.

Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have also been linked with a move for Palmer in recent months, amid his growing reputation on a global stage, but he still has eight years remaining on his current Chelsea contract and he is seen as an integral part of Maresca’s team.

Cole Palmer to rejoin Man City?

Man City’s reported interest in re-signing Palmer comes despite the summer signings of both Rayan Cherki and Tijjani Reijnders.

Guardiola has added Cherki and Reijnders to his first-team squad following the departure of Kevin De Bruyne to Napoli on a Bosman deal, while Phil Foden, Bernardo Silva and Omar Marmoush are also options available to the Man City boss in an attacking midfield role.

However, the decision to sell Palmer has seemingly haunted the ex-Barcelona manager and Man City are reportedly desperate to bring him back to the Etihad Stadium.
