Endrick to Arsenal: Real Madrid make decision on January deal
Real Madrid are willing to finalise a loan agreement for Endrick during the upcoming winter transfer window amid significant interest from Arsenal.
The Brazil international returned to Los Blancos over the summer following a temporary stint at Lyon last season, and he was expected to play a prominent role under Jose Mourinho following the sale of Gonzalo Garcia to Fulham.
However, Real Madrid opted to sign Carlos Espi to replace the Spaniard and Endrick has subsequently fallen behind the 21-year-old in the pecking order, which has led to strong speculation suggesting that he will leave the Bernabeu in January.
It’s understood that Endrick is growing frustrated by his current status at Real Madrid, having played just four minutes in all competitions so far this season, and he is eager to explore a possible move when the winter window opens.
A host of clubs across Europe are believed to be tracking Endrick’s situation in the Spanish capital, and Arsenal continue to be linked with a blockbuster deal after failing to sign Vinicius Junior, Morgan Rogers or Julian Alvarez over the summer.
The Gunners still have Kai Havertz and Viktor Gyokeres as centre forward options at their disposal, but they are keeping a close eye on Endrick’s situation, as confirmed by a report from TEAMtalk.
The same publication claim that Real Madrid are willing to finalise a loan deal for Endrick in January, although they are currently against the idea of including a buy-option clause in any agreement.
This is likely to prove pivotal in Arsenal’s pursuit of the 20-year-old, with Mikel Arteta’s side only interested in finalising a loan transfer if they have the option to sign him permanently.
Will Endrick join Arsenal?
Serie A giants AC Milan and AS Roma are also eager to sign Endrick when the winter window opens, while Aston Villa, Fulham, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur all reportedly enquired about a potential deal over the summer.
It’s reported that Endrick is open to joining Milan or Roma, but intermediaries are continuing to push him towards a Premier League transfer and Arsenal appear to be the frontrunners of all clubs in the English top flight.
However, Real Madrid will likely need to change their stance on a buy-option clause if Arsenal are to win the race for the Brazilian’s signature.
