We’re currently in a special transfer window for the FIFA Club World Cup to allow teams to gather their squads together for the competition, meaning a flurry of major early deals are likely.

FIFA has opened a window that will close on 10 June, providing clubs with an opportunity to add to their rosters ahead of the new competition, which begins five days later. As such, some huge names could be on the move.

Here are five transfers to look out for before the end of the week.

Liam Delap to Chelsea

Chelsea have beaten Manchester United to the signing of Liam Delap from Ipswich, with almost everything in place for a move.

Delap’s release clause at Portman Road, worth around €35 million, has been triggered by the Stamford Bridge club and a six-year contract has been agreed.

This one is only a matter of time before it gets over the line.

Florian Wirtz to Liverpool

It appears that Liverpool are ready to break the Premier League record transfer fee to sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen, with the prospect of a deal worth €130 million accelerating.

The Reds are set to beat stern competition from Bayern Munich, in particular, to land the Germany international star.

Reporting last week, Fabrizio Romano said: “They’re working hard to get the Florian Wirtz deal done and it won’t take too long. That’s the message coming from those close to the deal.”

Liverpool’s urgency to get this one over the line is perhaps surprising given they are not in the Club World Cup, yet the quicker they tie down a top talent, the better.

Bruno Fernandes to Al-Hilal

Could Manchester United really see their captain heading to the Saudi Pro League? There’s a distinct possibility that could be the case, with a deal worth €120m arguably too good for the Red Devils to turn down, given Bruno turns 31 in September.

Al-Hilal have reportedly handed the Portugal star a deadline to agree to a transfer. Even though there is now some suggestion that they could be flexible on the timing of a move, there is little doubt that the Saudi Pro League side would ideally like to have Bruno in their colours by the time they begin their Club World Cup campaign against Real Madrid.

Rayan Cherki to Manchester City

Manchester City are closing in on Lyon playmaker Rayan Cherki as a replacement for Kevin De Bruyne.

A €40 million deal appears likely for one of Europe’s most exciting young players, who has emerged as a primary target for Pep Guardiola’s side after they were priced out of moving for Wirtz. There are some details to iron out with the player's personal terms

“Advanced talks” are taking place between De Bruyne and the Serie A champions, with the former Chelsea star set to reject the opportunity to move to either the Saudi Pro League or MLS in favour of staying at the elite level.

Napoli are strong favourites here and could secure a deal very soon.

Caoimhin Kelleher to Brentford

Liverpool are set to offload backup goalkeeper Kelleher to fellow Premier League side Brentford having agreed to sign Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia last summer.

The Bees are ready to pay €14.8m (£12.5m) upfront for Kelleher with a possible €6.5m (£5.5m) following in bonus payments.

The Ireland international will take the place of Mark Flekken, who is destined to sign for Bayer Leverkusen in a deal worth in the region of €12.5m. The latter deal should be completed early in the week, with Kelleher set to follow soon after.

Cristiano Ronaldo to ?

What's next for Cristiano Ronaldo? FIFA president Gianni Infantino has hinted that he’ll be at the Club World Cup, but time is running out for him to find a club.

Rumours have linked him to Wydad Casablanca, Botafogo and teams in Liga MX, yet no strong track has emerged yet for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

While there is an increasing suggestion that he’ll sign a new deal with Al-Nassr, if he does leave the Saudi club, it’ll most likely be this week.
