Arsenal interest in Rodrygo confirmed

Arsenal are interested in signing Rodrygo from Real Madrid this summer, according to Sky Sports, as they look to add quality in attack.

The Gunners have long pursued Nico Williams of Athletic Club but the winger’s wage demands are thought to be excessive, leading to Arsenal director Andrea Berta considering other options.

And Rodrygo is on the club’s list after reports that he is ready to leave Real this summer following a disappointing campaign.

Leroy Sane is also on Arsenal’s shortlist as a free transfer but the Bayern Munich star is also believed to be asking for significant wages in excess of €250,000-per-week, leading to more exploration into potential targets.

Arsenal add two wingers to growing list

Arsenal could prey on Aston Villa’s PSR struggles this summer by targeting a cut-price move for Morgan Rogers after identifying the England international as one of their transfer targets.

Villa are believed to be at major risk of violating PSR ahead of the accounting deadline on June 30th and they will likely be forced into a significant sale before then.

And, according to The Times, Mikel Arteta has taken a shine to Rogers, having prioritised the need to add quality to his attacking options, ideally through a versatile young star with Premier League experience.

However, Arsenal are aware that the 22-year-old would command a major fee and are also considering cheaper alternatives and they are understood to have added Feyenoord’s Igor Paixao to their shortlist as a more affordable option.

Arsenal consider shock Kepa move

Arsenal are considering a deal for Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, according to Sky Sports.

The Spaniard spent last season on loan at Bournemouth and has a release clause of £5m in his contract at Chelsea, which is entering its final year.

Arsenal are seeking a backup goalkeeper to David Raya and Kepa would represent a value option with a significant amount of Premier League experience.

Arsenal in 'advanced discussions' for new recruitment aide

Arsenal are in advanced discussions with former Juventus executive Matteo Tognozzi about taking on a senior role within their recruitment team.

Sporting director Andrea Berta, who arrived at the club in March, is looking to strengthen the core team around him following the exit of former colleague Jason Ayto.

According to The Athletic, Tognozzi — who previously held roles at Juventus and Granada — could be brought in ahead of the summer transfer window to support Arsenal’s upcoming business.

He would join a recruitment structure that already includes Berta as sporting director and James Ellis as head of recruitment, though the exact hierarchy and division of responsibilities is yet to be clarified.
