Key Arsenal star now '90%' likely to LEAVE in damaging setback for Arteta

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is '90 per cent' likely to let his contract expire, according to a report.
The Ghanaian is coming off a successful season at the personal level as he managed to stay relatively injury-free for the first time in a long time. Partey's guaranteed availability was a huge boost for Arsenal, with the veteran midfielder playing a crucial role in the Gunners' campaign.
This also saw the North London club change their stance on a potential exit of the 32-year-old. In previous windows, Partey had increasingly become a candidate to depart, but it has been a different story this summer, with Arsenal determined to extend his expiring contract.
An offer for fresh terms has been on the table for months, and FootballTransfers exclusively revealed in April that Partey had been stalling on greenlighting an extension.
There has been complete radio silence on the matter since then. With 30 June mere days away, it seems that Arsenal will lose one of their most reliable performers of the previous season.
Partey '90%' likely to leave
According to journalist Buchi Laba, Partey is now '90 per cent' likely to let his Arsenal contract expire as the Gunners have been unwilling to improve their original offer.
Laba claims that, unlike other Premier League clubs, Arsenal do not have a rigid wage structure and will pay whatever is deemed realistic by the club hierarchy. Partey was offered a wage in line with what the Gunners believe he is worth, but this evidently wasn't enough for the player.

It is not yet clear what Partey's next destination will be, but Laba asserts that an unnamed Premier League club approached the midfielder on Thursday, 12 June.
Partey has also been linked with a potential return to Spain after previously starring at Atletico Madrid. The Ghanaian has made 167 appearances for Arsenal, scoring nine goals and providing seven assists.
