Arsenal move agreed

Arsenal have reached an agreement with Sporting to sign Gyokeres for €65 million this summer, according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.

Personal terms are yet to be finalised with the Sweden international, but Gyokeres is ‘on his way to Arsenal’, with the deal set to be completed next week.

FootballTransfers understands that Arsenal have shifted their focus to finalising a deal for Gyokeres since the appointment of Andrea Berta as their new sporting director, and the Sweden international is now on the verge of sealing a move to north London.

Romano confirms transfer

Before news of Gyokeres’ imminent move to Arsenal was confirmed, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that he will leave Sporting this summer if a bid of €65m is lodged.

Gyokeres had hinted at an extended stay at Sporting following their second consecutive league title, but Romano poured cold water on this by posted on X: “Despite public statements, Viktor Gyokeres will surely leave Sporting this summer with a fee already agreed.

“Package worth around €65m can be enough to get [the] green light from Sporting as agreed with Gyokeres months ago. Discussions with top European clubs continue.”

Man Utd eye hijack

Although Gyokeres is set to join Arsenal this summer, Man Utd remain interested in completing a deal as Ruben Amorim believes he is a “reliable source of goals.”

That is according to GiveMeSport, who claim that Man Utd are eager to hijack the Swede’s move to north London.

Amorim is reportedly unconvinced by Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap and he is determined to bring Gyokeres to Old Trafford.

Gyokeres transfer domino

If Gyokeres does join Arsenal, it is likely to cause a major transfer domino effect in the Premier League, as per TBR Football.

In the event Gyokeres moves to the Emirates Stadium, Man Utd will likely sign Liam Delap, while Chelsea will therefore be forced to bring in RB Leipzig youngster Benjamin Sesko.

Liverpool, on the other hand, want a more experienced option, hence their pursuit of Alexander Isak and Julian Alvarez.
