Saudi giants Al-Hilal appear to be the club with the best chances of signing Napoli striker Osimhen at this point as Premier League clubs continue to have concerns over his overall cost, particularly his hefty €12 million-per-season salary.

However, Riyadh giants Al-Hilal have no such reservations and are even willing to more than triple his salary. According to Foot Mercato, Osimhen has been offered a 'crazy' €120m wage spread out over a three-year contract.

This amounts to an eye-watering €40m per season, although it is still some way short of the reported €200m that Cristiano Ronaldo pocketed at Al-Nassr annually.

Al-Hilal are said to be closing in on an agreement with Osimhen on personal terms, which would then only require the club to trigger his €75m release clause at Napoli. The Riyadh club want to have the Nigerian available for the Club World Cup.

Osimhen's loan club Galatasaray still retain the faintest of hopes of convincing the striker to stay in Istanbul beyond this season, although their chances of accomplishing this appear minuscule at this stage.

Nevertheless, manager Okan Buruk has now publicly denied that Osimhen has decided to head to Saudi Arabia and pleaded with the 26-year-old to stay in Turkey. “Osimhen will look at the conditions,” Buruk told Az Once Konustum.

“He is very happy here at Galatasaray. He is living the best days of his life. The player will decide about his future. He made an incredible contribution here. We need to respect him, but we are hopeful that he will stay with us.

“He is a professional player. There are talks about it, but Osimhen will make the choice. He will look at the conditions. The part about Osimhen agreeing with the Arabian side is not true.”

Like Galatasaray, Man Utd are also facing defeat in their battle for Osimhen, but they have been given some faint hope by the news that Antonio Conte could leave Napoli.

The Scudetto-winning manager does not see eye-to-eye with president Aurelio de Laurentiis and could be on his way back to Juventus this summer. This, it is being claimed in Italy, could ruin the Old Lady's hopes of signing Osimhen.

The Serie A side view the Nigerian as their top striker target for the summer as their recruitment is being led by Cristiano Giuntoli, who originally signed Osimhen for Napoli and still has an excellent relationship with him.

However, Juventus accept that signing the Nigerian will be incredibly difficult, especially if Conte joins. Should he decide to snub Saudi Arabia in favour of staying in Europe, then Man Utd, rather than Juventus, could become a viable option.
