In fact, several huge transfers have already been officially announced, despite the fact the 2024-25 campaign is still ongoing.

Below, FootballTransfers runs through 10 deals that have already been completed ahead of the summer window.

Estevao Willian - €34m (Palmeiras to Chelsea)

Chelsea agreed a deal to sign Palmeiras wonderkid for an initial €34m last year and he will formally join the club this summer, following his 18th birthday in April.

The Brazilian is regarded as one of the best talents in world football and he is expected to be immediately handed a prominent role in the first-team at Stamford Bridge.

Nico Gonzalez - €28.1m (Fiorentina to Juventus)

Nico Gonzalez’s loan move from Fiorentina to Juventus will become permanent for €28.1m due to an obligation to buy clause included in the deal.

The Argentina international has scored four goals in 33 appearances for Juventus so far this season.

Dario Essugo - €22.3m (Sporting CP to Chelsea)

After signing Mathis Amougou from Saint-Etienne in January, Chelsea were expected to end their interest in Dario Essugo, but they instead agreed a deal to bring him to the club this summer.

The 20-year-old has only made 25 first-team appearances for Sporting CP, however Chelsea have opted to sign him after being impressed by his form on loan at Las Palmas.

Arthur Vermeeren - €20m (Atletico Madrid to RB Leipzig)

Arthur Vermeeren was wanted by a plethora of top European clubs following his breakthrough at Royal Antwerp and he will no doubt be regretting his decision to join Atletico Madrid.

After failing to break into Diego Simeone’s starting XI, he was sent on loan to RB Leipzig in August and the move will become permanent for €20m when the summer window opens.

Lloyd Kelly - €17.2m (Newcastle to Juventus)

Lloyd Kelly joined Newcastle on a Bosman deal from Bournemouth last summer, but he was unable to usurp Lewis Hall at left-back or Dan Burn at centre-back; as a result, he was sent on loan to Juventus in January.

Kelly has been a regular starter in Turin and he will join Juve on a permanent deal worth €17.2m this summer.

Mohamed Amoura joined Wolfsburg on loan from Union Saint-Gilloise last summer and he has been a revelation in Germany, notching 10 goals and 11 assists in just 30 Bundesliga appearances.

Numerous top European clubs have been linked with the Algeria international, although a permanent move to Wolfsburg has already been arranged.

Kendry Paez - €10m (Independiente del Valle to Chelsea)

In addition to the aforementioned Estevao, Chelsea also agreed a deal to sign Kendry Paez from Independiente del Valle last year.

The Ecuadorian was forced to wait until he turned 18 to join the Blues, but the deal has been formally agreed and he will become a new Chelsea player this summer.

Neal Maupay - €4m (Everton to Marseille)

Neal Maupay’s disastrous spell at Everton will come to an end this summer, with his loan move to Marseille including a €4m obligation to buy.

However, the Frenchman has only scored four goals in 23 games for Marseille and the Ligue 1 giants could reportedly look to immediately sell him on.

Diego Leon - Undisclosed (Cerro Porteno to Man Utd)

Manchester United’s first signing of the 2025 summer transfer window has already been confirmed, with Diego Leon arriving at Old Trafford for an undisclosed fee from Cerro Porteno.

The Paraguay U20 left-back has racked up 29 senior appearances for his boyhood club and he is expected to join Man Utd’s academy side upon his arrival in England.
