Jude Bellingham interest

Jude Bellingham has been offered a new contract by Real Madrid, but Chelsea are “very keen” on signing the England superstar next year.

That is according to transfer insider IndyKaila, who claims that Bellingham’s situation is “one to watch” amid lengthy contract negotiations with Los Blancos.

However, despite Chelsea’s interest, rumours indicate that Bellingham is expected to finalise a new deal with Real Madrid before the end of the year.

Frenkie Jong offer

Chelsea are prepared to offer Frenkie de Jong a “hefty” contract in order to sign him in January, according to a shock report from Football Insider.

The Barcelona midfielder has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent days and it’s now claimed that he has been identified as one of their top targets to replace Enzo Fernandez, who joined Manchester City on Deadline Day.

However, Barcelona aren’t actively looking to sell the Netherlands star, and the Blues will therefore be required to lodge a blockbuster bid to sign him during the winter window.

Moises Caicedo to Man Utd?

Manchester United legend Antonio Valencia has told his former club to pursue a deal for Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo next year.

The 24-year-old’s current contract at Chelsea isn’t due to expire until 2033 and he was named as one of the club’s ‘untouchables’ over the summer, alongside the likes of Levi Colwill, Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro and Josh Acheampong. However, Valencia believes Man Utd should attempt to sign his compatriot next year.

During an interview with Spanish outlet AS ahead of Man Utd’s Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night, Valencia said: “This year the team has struggled a bit. I think they still need two or three more signings for United to be able to do better.”

When pressed on who his former club should pursue, the 41-year-old admitted: “I'd sign another midfielder. I'd bring in a player like Moises Caicedo, keeping it local (laughs). And then I'd bring in a centre-back and a right or left full-back.”

Sander Berge praise

Chelsea have been encouraged to renew their interest in Sander Berge after Bayern Munich boss Vincent Kompany lauded his “quality and talent”.

BBC Sport claims the Blues showed late interest in Berge as they tried to sign a replacement midfielder for Enzo Fernandez on Deadline Day in September, and they have now received a ringing endorsement of Berge.

Speaking ahead of Bayern’s trip to Norwegian side Viking in the Champions League, Kompany, who worked with Berge at Burnley, said: “I have the privilege of working with some of the top players in Europe at the moment.

“And he (Berge) will probably also be happy that I say this, but he has the quality, always had the quality, to be at this level and he has been a little bit unlucky, I think, in his career with injuries at the wrong time.

“Probably always suffering in the Premier League with his teams and it’s probably not at the right timing in his career. But in terms of quality, talent as a person, he could be at the top level in European football.”

Florian Wirtz message

Chelsea would reportedly be interested in signing Liverpool flop Florian Wirtz if he becomes available next year, according to Germany legend Lothar Matthaus.

Bayern Munich are reportedly keeping close tabs on Wirtz’s situation at Anfield, however Matthaus believes there is no room for the Germany attacker in Vincent Kompany’s side. Instead, he has tipped Chelsea to pursue a shock deal.

“When I look at Bayern Munich’s attacking options, [Harry] Kane, [Michael] Olise and [Luis] Diaz are established starters, while [Jamal] Musiala and [Serge] Gnabry are also top-quality players. The club wants to extend Kane’s and Olise’s contracts, while the others are tied down to long-term deals. [Ismael] Saibari has also recently joined the squad,” Matthaus wrote for Sky Germany (via BuliNews).

“At the moment, I honestly wouldn’t know where Wirtz would fit in, and I simply don’t see any realistic short-term possibility of bringing him to Bayern Munich.

“If Wirtz continues to face criticism at Liverpool and fails to show the joy and freedom in his game that we know he has, then at some point all parties will have to sit down together and perhaps find a solution.

“There are clubs in Spain that would be interested, as well as another club in England: Chelsea, where Wirtz’s former coach Xabi Alonso is now in charge.”

Alex Scott deal edges closer

TEAMtalk asserts that Chelsea are 'on track' to sign Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott, potentially as early as January.

The Blues are said to be growing increasingly confident of being able to prise Scott away from the Cherries mid-season, and they are prepared to meet the latter's hefty financial demands.

Scott could command as much as €118m, a fee Chelsea would be willing to negotiate around to see if a deal could be done in January. Bournemouth may have no choice but to cash in should Scott, who is keen to join Chelsea, actively agitate for the move.

Malo Gusto wants to stay

Malo Gusto reportedly has no intention of leaving Chelsea next year, despite concerns over his place in Xabi Alonso’s team.

It’s understood that Chelsea were willing to sell Gusto this summer if they received an offer worth roughly €90m, but no such approaches were submitted and the 23-year-old remained at Stamford Bridge.

Sky Sport Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri now reports that Chelsea are open to reducing their asking price for the France right-back, with back-to-back Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain believed to be among his suitors.

However, Gusto currently has no intention of leaving the Blues. It’s reported that he remains happy at Stamford Bridge and while his stance could change if his game time reduces drastically over the coming weeks, he is keen to establish himself as a key player under Alonso.

In fact, Gusto would only consider leaving Chelsea to take a “significant step forward in his career”, with the France star prioritising an extended spell in west London.

Andy Diouf interest

Chelsea and Arsenal are both keeping a close eye on the development of Inter Milan midfielder Andy Diouf, as per CaughtOffside.

He is valued at over €50m by the Inter hierarchy and it’s claimed that his recent form has attracted significant transfer attention, with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain also following his progress closely.

However, a January transfer remains unlikely as his current contract at San Siro runs until 2030.
