Transfer Rumours: €118m Chelsea signing 'on track' as Josh King battle erupts
FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours and gossip from 13 October, including the latest updates on Josh King, Alex Scott and Pierre Kalulu.
King in demand
Barcelona and Man Utd are interested in Fulham youngster Josh King, Sport claims.
The 19-year-old has emerged as a huge talent over the past 12 months and is increasingly attracting the attention of bigger clubs. A host of suitors are keeping tabs on the attacking midfielder's development, including numerous Premier League clubs.
However, TEAMtalk writes that Fulham have no intention of entertaining a January sale of King, although this stance could be tested if results don't improve and relegation looks like a realistic scenario come the next transfer window.
Chelsea 'on track' for Scott signing
The same outlet also asserts that Chelsea are 'on track' to sign Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott, potentially as early as January.
The Blues are said to be growing increasingly confident of being able to prise Scott away from the Cherries mid-season, and they are prepared to meet the latter's hefty financial demands.
Scott could command as much as €118 million, a fee Chelsea would be willing to negotiate around to see if a deal could be done in January. Bournemouth may have no choice but to cash in should Scott, who is keen to join Chelsea, actively agitate for the move.
Four-club Kalulu battle
As many as four clubs are interested in signing Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu, as per TuttoJuve.
Man Utd, Liverpool and Newcastle are long-standing admirers of the France international, and they have now been joined by PSG. His versatility across the backline makes him hugely attractive to suitors.
However, Juventus do not want to lose the 26-year-old and are actively working on a new contract for him. In fact, they intend to agree terms with him before the January window opens in order to nip any talk of a mid-season move in the bud.
Diouf attracting interest
Inter midfielder Andy Diouf is emerging as a target for Arsenal and Chelsea, according to CaughtOffside.
The 23-year-old recently returned to the France squad for the first time since the Olympics in 2024 after starting all but one of Inter's games ahead of the international break. His performances have attracted the attention of various big hitters.
In addition to Arsenal and Chelsea, Diouf is also being closely followed by Barcelona and PSG. He is still under contract with Inter until 2030, putting the Serie A side in a very strong negotiating position.
Liverpool want Gomes
Liverpool are keeping a close watch on Porto winger William Gomes, A Bola understands.
The left-footed right-winger extended his contract with the Portuguese club last week, but that has not deterred the Reds in their search for a long-term Mohamed Salah replacement.
The Anfield club are continuing to make checks on the 20-year-old. As part of the new deal, Porto have increased the Brazilian's release clause from €80m to €100m.
