Fabrizio Romano confirms OFFICIAL Arsenal signing

Fabrizio Romano has once again confirmed FootballTransfers’ exclusive report regarding Martin Zubimendi, claiming Arsenal will formally complete the deal in the coming weeks.
Romano confirmed the news on Saturday that a deal is done to sign Zubimendi for his €60 million release clause.
And on Sunday morning, he followed this up by adding that Zubimendi will officially sign for Arsenal in the next weeks.
What did Romano say?
“Martin Zubimendi wants to give his best to Real Sociedad until the end of the season, 100% focused on the team as top professional as always,” Romano said on X.
“Arsenal will complete formal steps of the deal in the next weeks as Zubimendi will be the first signing for 2025/26.”
FootballTransfers understands that Mikel Arteta’s side have agreed personal terms with Zubimendi and the deal is expected to be announced at the start of June, barring any late complications.
The 26-year-old has made 44 appearances across all competitions for Real Sociedad so far this season, scoring two goals, and his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently stands at €57.1 million.

Zubimendi was close to signing for Liverpool last summer, while Real Madrid were interested ahead of this summer.
Zubimendi at Euro 2024
Zubimendi enjoyed a fantastic Euro 2024 as Spain won the title and he was deemed by many to have been the key man in the 2-1 final win over England.
The midfielder came on at half time for Rodri with the score at 0-0 and immediately changed the game.
Zubimendi has spent his whole career at Real Sociedad, making 232 appearances and scoring 10 goals. He won the Copa del Rey in 2020.
Previously he played for Real Sociedad’s B team, making 50 appearances and scoring four goals.
He has been capped 17 times by Spain, winning Euro 2024 and the Nations League. He has scored one goal.
