Osimhen gets his dream: €35m wage on the table

Victor Osimhen has been offered a blockbuster contract in response to a massive bid from Juventus.
The Napoli striker has spent the last year on loan at Galatasaray but will be on the move this summer, with clubs across the world following his progress.
Osimhen is known to favour a move to Chelsea, but his wage demands are set to block any switch to Stamford Bridge. The Nigeria international is adamant that he will only accept a wage of over €295,000 per week, which works out as a little over €15 million per year.
With the Blues unwilling to commit to such a figure, Juventus have stepped up their interest and are ready to put €85m on the table as a transfer fee for the Napoli striker. Although the Nigeria international has a €75m release clause, this does not apply to Serie A clubs. Juve are willing to pay that premium to sign the hitman, though.
Although Juventus have positioned themselves to sign Osimhen, they face an enormous threat from the Saudi Pro League, where Al-Hilal have offered him an enormous deal.
Victor Osimhen gets ‘indecent’ Saudi offer
Corriere dello Sport reports that Osimhen has been offered a contract worth between €30-35m per year from Saudi, which is described by the Italian source as “indecent”. The player is said to be “very seriously evaluating” this offer, which is twice what he wants.
Juventus, meanwhile, have shown a willingness to spend big on wages, with Osimhen’s demands still short of the salary earned by the erratic Dusan Vlahovic.
Indeed, it appears that a deal could be rapidly concluded. Both Juventus and Al-Hilal want Osimhen in their squad for the FIFA Club World Cup, which begins in the US next month.

This would also suit Napoli, who do not want the transfer saga to be drawn out after it became a major problem that dogged them throughout last summer.
Juventus, meanwhile, are braced to miss out on Osimhen, with Ademola Lookman of Atalanta the other player who is high up their shortlist, though he will cost in the region of €60m.
