Arsenal set for 'the biggest transfer window in a generation'

Arsenal are reportedly set for “their biggest transfer window in a generation” as Mikel Arteta aims to guide the club to their first Premier League title since 2004.
The Gunners are on course for their third consecutive second-place finish in the English top flight and they are looking to rectify that by significantly backing Arteta with multiple new signings this summer.
FootballTransfers understands that Arsenal will sign numerous reinforcements during the 2025 summer window and this has been backed up by The Independent’s Miguel Delaney, who has stated that the north London giants are set for “their biggest transfer window in a generation.”
We have been told that Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia is a key target in their pursuit of a suitable back-up to David Raya, while a deal for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi is close.
In addition, Arsenal are determined to bring a new left winger to the club and they are leading the race to sign Athletic Club superstar Nico Williams. Centre forward is also a priority position and Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres has emerged as the club’s number one target since the appointment of Andrea Berta as their new sporting director.
FootballTransfers has also been informed that Arsenal’s are keeping tabs on the likes of Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa), Yarek Gasiorowski (Valencia), Liam Delap (Ipswich Town), Santiago Castro (Bologna) and Saba Kharebashvili (Dinamo Tbilisi).

What has Mikel Arteta said about Arsenal’s summer transfer plans
In early April, Arteta confirmed that Arsenal are set to be extremely active in the market during the 2025 summer transfer window.
“It's going to be a big one [summer window] and we are very excited about it,” he told reporters.
“When you are going to go again, we want to increase the depth of the squad and the quality and the skills that we need to go to the next step.
“Every summer is big because it is an opportunity and especially because of the number of players we have in the squad right now that is necessary.
“But it's a big summer for many things because first of all we have to maintain the good foundations that we have and then obviously how can we improve and evolve the team.”
