Arsenal 'back in the race' for contract rebel Arteta LOVES

Arsenal are fully 'back in the race' for Leroy Sane, whose Bayern Munich contract talks have reached an impasse, according to German media.
The Germany international has been locked in tense and ever-changing negotiations with Bayern for weeks. Initially, he looked set to depart this summer, only for his performances and willingness to take a pay cut to prompt a rethink.
Bayern were ready to extend his expiring contract, but another twist appears to have fully doomed these talks. Sane decided to switch agents in a last-ditch attempt to get a better deal for himself, but this gamble seems to have backfired.
Bayern are unwilling to budge from their initial proposal of €10 million per season with a potential €5.5m in bonuses and no signing-on fee. Even a counteroffer from Sane's new representative Pini Zahavi has not had the desired effect.
According to Sky Germany, Sane has absolutely no intention of accepting Bayern's original offer, which means that he will leave the club unless one side cedes ground before the end of the season.
Arsenal 'back in the race' for Sane
In recent weeks, Sane has been frequently linked with a return to the Premier League. Arsenal hold a long-standing interest, with Mikel Arteta still having a great relationship with the former Man City winger.
According to the German outlet, the Gunners are now firmly 'back in the race' to sign the 29-year-old, but other clubs from England are also monitoring the situation.

Newcastle, too, have been associated with Sane, and although he is said to favour a move to London, Champions League qualification would make the Magpies an enticing destination.
Earlier this week, Chelsea were added to Sane's list of supposed suitors. It has been claimed that the Blues have been 'offered' the chance to sign Sane by Zahavi.
