Arsenal are reportedly hoping to beat Manchester United to the signing of Sporting CP winger Francisco Trincao during the 2025 summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old has scored nine goals and provided 18 assists in 50 appearances across all competitions for Sporting this term and Ruben Amorim is reportedly eager to be reunited with the Portugal international at Man Utd.
The Red Devils are currently prioritising a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers superstar Matheus Cunha, although Trincao has been heavily linked with an Old Trafford switch in recent months and Man Utd may intensify their pursuit once they confirm the sales of Antony and Marcus Rashford.
However, Arsenal have now joined the race for Trincao’s signature and they are prepared to offer him an annual salary of €3 million, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.

Mikel Arteta’s side are aiming to sign a new winger capable of easing Bukayo Saka’s workload and they have reportedly identified Trincao as the perfect transfer target ahead of the summer window.
The former Barcelona star has just two years remaining on his current contract at Sporting and while the Portuguese giants are eager to tie him down to an extended deal, a summer exit certainly appears to be on the cards amid significant interest from multiple clubs across Europe.

Arsenal want two new forwards
Although Arsenal have reportedly expressed their interest in signing Trincao, FootballTransfers understands that Athletic Club’s Nico Williams remains their top winger target for the summer window.
Furthermore, the Gunners are also hoping to sign Viktor Gyokeres, Benjamin Sesko or Alexander Isak as Arteta searches for a centre forward capable of firing the club to Premier League glory next season.
