Arsenal have sent scouts to watch Gremio midfielder Bitello. What else is there to know about the Brazilian playmaker?

According to Portal Do Gremista, the Gunners had scouts in attendance for Gremio's game against Botafogo last Sunday, and although they were beaten 2-0, they are unlikely to have been put off the young star.

It is reported that Gremio would consider entering negotiations for Bitello if an offer of around €10 million was presented. What would Arsenal be getting?

What position does Bitello play in?

Bitello is primarily an attacking midfielder who lines up in support of a certain Luis Suarez at Gremio. He is also capable of playing deeper and wider than a No.10, however, and could be a versatile tactical fit for Mikel Arteta.

How good is Bitello?

Bitello had seven goals and four assists in all competitions for Gremio last season, but his averages of six progressive passes and five shot-creating actions over the last year suggest that there is more to come from him.

Bitello has been a key player for Gremio as they have won three consecutive Campeonato Gaucho state titles over the last three seasons, and it seems only a matter of time before he wins international recognition.
