Man Utd and Liverpool on alert as transfer target REJECTS new contract

Rumoured Manchester United and Liverpool transfer target Eberechi Eze has reportedly turned down a new deal at Crystal Palace.
The 2023/24 season saw Eze scale new heights, as he scored 10 Premier League goals and earned his first senior cap for England – featuring in last month’s Euro 2024 qualifying win over Malta.
It seems like only a matter of time before the tricky midfielder makes the next big move of his career; could he be heading to Old Trafford?

Well, Man Utd don’t appear to be lining up a bid imminently, but, according to TEAMtalk, Eze has rejected Palace’s offer of a contract extension.
The 25-year-old has two years left to run on his current deal, having joined the Eagles from QPR for an initial £16m three years ago.
Our in-house Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) model currently rates Eze at €30m (£25.7) – but, if Palace’s reported valuations of their other star players are to be believed, it’s easy to see them demanding significantly more than that.

Palace put big price tags on their top performers
Eze’s fellow Eagles entertainer Michael Olise is said to have a release clause of £35m, amid interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City – while the South London club are thought to want at least £50m for defensive midfielder Cheick Doucoure, who has been linked with a switch to Liverpool this summer.
Man Utd have made two signings so far during the current transfer window, bringing in Mason Mount from Chelsea for and Andre Onana from Inter Milan.
The same goes for Liverpool, who have strengthened their midfield with the acquisitions of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai from Brighton and RB Leipzig respectively.
