There have been talks that Juventus are in for the Spaniard - but we can reveal that, despite reports suggesting it ends next year, the winger's contract is actually up in 2025.

Meanwhile, the club are already talking with him about extending that even further.

Garnacho has triggers within his scholarship agreement that extend on his birthday every year, meaning he will stay at Old Trafford at least 2025, regardless of any new contract.

Signed from Atletico Madrid in 2020, Garnacho has become United’s biggest young name and has enjoyed an outstanding 2021-22 season, with now hopes now of making a first-team entry.

The youngster helped them win the FA Youth Cup last campaign and was even the recipient of the club’s prestigious Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year award, owing to his spellbinding displays.

Ralf Rangnick’s appraisal

Speaking in April, the former Red Devils spoke highly of the teenage star.

He said via the club’s official site: “Garnacho has been training with us [the first team] for the last two weeks and I know that he is one of the most promising players.

“Still only 17, but a player that hopefully if he keeps his feet on the ground. If he keeps trying to get better every day, he will not only be sitting on the bench but there is every chance he will be playing for this club.

“Alejandro Garnacho is a very talented gifted player. He has to work hard and get physically stronger but technically on the ball he’s been training with us for the past month and you can see with every training session he’s getting better.”

Garnacho scored seven times in six FA Youth Cup matches, while he made his first-team debut for Manchester United in the Premier League against Chelsea in April, one of two substitute appearances he enjoyed at the end of the season.
