Rangers hit transfer jackpot as ex-Ibrox star heads to the Premier League

Rangers could land a major transfer windfall in the coming weeks to help fuel their own summer plans while a former favourite of the Glasgow club is destined for the Premier League.
Hamza Igamane wanted by seven clubs
In what was a disappointing campaign overall for Rangers, Hamza Igamane was one clear success story. Signed from FAR Rabat for €2.5 million, he scored 16 goals in 46 appearances.
Igamane’s stay at Ibrox, however, threatens to be short. FootMercato reports that there are no fewer than seven clubs chasing the forward, who made his international debut in March.
Brentford, West Ham United and Everton are all following the progress of the attacker, but the possibility of a move to Ligue 1 is also very evident. From France, Lens, Lille, Rennes and Strasbourg are all tracking the striker.
The good news for Rangers is that such intense interest in the player is likely to create a bidding war and should allow the Glasgow giants to maximise their revenue from the striker.
Igamane has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €6m – doubling since he arrived last summer.
The Scottish Sun claims that Rangers now want €15m for the striker.
Former Rangers boss heads to Liverpool
Giovanni van Bronckhorst, another former favourite of the Ibrox crowd, more thanks to his playing contribution than his spell in the dugout as manager, is destined to join Arne Slot’s coaching staff at Liverpool in a surprise move.
The BBC reports that he is set to become Slot’s assistant at Anfield, having departed the Besiktas job
Van Bronckhorst will fill the void left by John Heitinga, who left the Premier League champions to become the head coach at Ajax.
