Arsenal and Chelsea receive official transfer message from shared target

Jacobo Ramon insists he is “very happy” at Como amid strong speculation linking him with Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea.

The 21-year-old is developing a reputation as one of the best centre-backs in Europe with Como, who are managed by Cesc Fabregas.

Ramon played a key role in helping Como finish fourth in the Serie A in 2025-26, securing qualification for this season’s Champions League.

His performances have alerted the attention of Arsenal who - according to BBC Sport - are continuing to monitor his development.

The Athletic claims Chelsea are also interested in signing Ramon, who is representing Spain’s Under-21s during the international break.

However, in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Ramon has said he is fully focused on helping Como achieve great things this season.

Speaking ahead of Spain U21’s trip to San Marino on Thursday, Ramon said: “I’ll only say one thing, which is an absolute certainty: I'm very happy at Como.

“We've only just started the season, and I'm not thinking about anything else. We need to have a great season, nada mas (nothing more).”

Ramon has also been linked with return to Real Madrid

Ramon is also being linked with a possible return to Real Madrid, with reports claiming they can re-sign the defender for just €9million (£7.7m) next summer.

Spanish publication Diario AS understands Real were keen to re-sign Ramos this summer - but he preferred to continue progressing with Como.

Arsenal meanwhile were first linked with Ramon in the summer transfer window as they looked to secure a replacement for the injured William Saliba.

The Premier League champions eventually decided to sign England international Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa for €59.6m (£51m) in August.

Chelsea, on the other hand, were first credited with an interest in signing Ramon before acquiring Maxence Lacroix from Crystal Palace for €60.7m (£52m) in July.

Ramon has made six appearances for Como so far this season, scoring in the 2-1 home win over Parma in Serie A on 14 September.

Fabregas’ Como are currently eighth in the table and return to action when they entertain league leaders Roma on Sunday, 11 October.
