Manchester United are set for arguably the most pivotal transfer window in their modern history as INEOS take control of football operations at Old Trafford.

With a new structure above manager Erik ten Hag, the Red Devils are set for significant change this summer

The Dutchman has survived a two-week end-of-season review from the higher-ups at the club so he will be in charge of the team on the opening game of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.

He may even sign a contract extension at Old Trafford after guiding the club to FA Cup glory in May.

Off the pitch, there is now great hope with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS looking to oversee drastic improvement on the pitch following their arrival earlier this year.

No more Ed Woodward, and hopefully a structure which can set up the club for future success. Expect many players to leave and several to come in during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Our live Man Utd transfer blog brings you all the latest news surrounding the Red Devils, including exclusives from our own reporters as well as checking out what the other big names are saying (including the likes of Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein).

There are expected to be many moves this summer with players coming and going, and the Old Trafford rumour mill is already in full swing.

Jarrad Branthwaite and Amadou Onana are among their summer transfer targets as INEOS prepare to spend millions in the market.

Liverpool in for Man Utd target Lookman

Liverpool are looking to swap Federico Chiesa for Ademola Lookman in a player-plus-cash deal with Atalanta.

Earlier this campaign, Lookman was named African Football of the Year following his superb performances with La Dea which included a career highlight hat-trick in the Europa League final against Leverkusen.

He has been strongly linked with a return to the Premier League, however, with Chelsea, Newcastle, Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal among the suitors. For a cash only deal, he'll cost about €60 million. (Quotidiano Sportivo)

Huge Xavi Simons bombshell

Man Utd have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Xavi Simons as Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the Dutch international will leave RB Leipzig.

“Xavi Simons’ decision has been made: he’s ready to leave RB Leipzig this summer," Romano wrote on X.

“Plan confirmed as reported in recent months, he’s ready for a new chapter with top Premier League clubs and Bayern all attentive to his situation.

“RB Leipzig are aware of the player’s plan.”

United will sign Matheus Cunha soon

Man Utd will soon sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Ruben Amorim will oversee a squad overhaul this summer and a number of forwards will be signed.

United are set to pay around €80 million for his services.

Gyokeres price DROPS

Several clubs have been put on high alert as Sporting CP have reportedly dropped their asking price for Viktor Gyokeres.

The Swedish goal machine is a wanted man for the summer transfer window, with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool and Barcelona linked with a swoop.

Sporting previously demanded around £80 million for Gyokeres, but the Mirror reports that he is now available for £60m.

United watching Hudson-Odoi

Man Utd are looking at a potential move for Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The former Chelsea winger has been key for Nottingham Forest this season and their return to qualification for European football.

More on the proposed Cunha deal

Is Matheus Cunha worth the money?

Rashford to Barca could still happen

Marcus Rashford dreams of a move to Barcelona.

However, a transfer to the Blaugrana will only happen if they manage to sell Ansu Fati, who has been plagued by injury issues over the last few seasons.

Rashford is currently on loan from Man Utd to Aston Villa, with Unai Emery keen to sign him on a permanent basis. (90Min)

Man Utd back in for Ederson

Man Utd will look to sign Ederson again this summer.

Last year, the Red Devils made contact with Atalanta to sign the powerhouse midfielder, but no deal materalised.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, United have returned to talks but they will need to improve on their previous €50 million offer.

Amorim will STAY even if United lose Europa League final

Ignore our last post as in turns out Man Utd will not part ways with Ruben Amorim even if they lose the Europa League final against Tottenham.

The club currently trusts their Portuguese boss to lead the summer rebuild. (Guardian)

United identify Amorim replacement

Should Man Utd sack Ruben Amorim, they will turn to Max Allegri to take the club forward.

Amorim is under massive pressure at Old Trafford following a dismal Premier League campaign that could see the club finish as low as 17th, though Erik ten Hag was obviously in charge at the start of the season.

United will remarkably qualify for the Champions League should they win the Europa League, but should they fail, Amorim may be sacked.

Former Juventus boss Allegri will then be brought in. (Fichajes)

Could Man Utd usurp Arsenal to Gyokeres?

Delap could choose Man Utd over competitors

Liam Delap is leaning towards joining Man Utd ahead of the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Aston Villa, according to Ben Jacobs.

The striker will leave Ipswich this summer for around £30 million due to a relegation clause in his contract, with 'half the Premier League' said to be interested in acquiring his services.

It looks like the Red Devils are leading the race currently.

Amorim could leave if United start poorly in 2025/26

Ruben Amorim concedes that he'll need to leave Man Utd if the club's awful form stretches into the start of next season.

“Everybody here has to think seriously about a lot of things. Everybody is thinking about the [Europa League] final. The final is not the issue. We have bigger things to think about.

“I'm talking about myself and the culture in the club and the culture in the team. We need to change that.  It's a decisive moment in the history of the club. We need to be really strong in the summer and to be brave because we will not have a next season like this.

“If we start like this, if the feeling is still here, we should give the space to different people.”
