Al Nassr are planning to sign a Real Madrid legend in a bid to further sweeten the deal to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to the club.

With interest in him from European clubs limited, Al Nassr are the only club with a serious offer, and they’re planning to bring in Sergio Ramos to convince him even further.

Al Nassr planning Sergio Ramos deal

Ramos has been at Paris Saint-Germain for the last 18 months and is in the final months of his contract, with his deal set to run out at the end of the season.

Ronaldo and Ramos were team-mates at Real Madrid from 2009 until the Portuguese star’s departure from the club in 2018 and they enjoyed great success together.

Al Nassr management are planning a trip to visit and negotiate with Ramos, with his arrival potentially acting as a sweetener for Ronaldo’s transfer to the club later on.

Al Nassr already have a few recognizable names on their books: former Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina, Bayern Munich midfielder Luiz Gustavo and Cameroon striker Vincent Aboubakar all play for them.

Saudi Arabia's sports minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal previously spoke about Ronaldo’s possible move and brining big names to the league.

He said: "Who wouldn't want him to play in their league? He's a role model to lots of players - him and Messi. I'd love to see them both play in the Saudi league because that will reinforce the programmes we are doing, it will show the league is strong."
