PSV Eindhoven haven’t enjoyed the same talent production rate as Eredivisie rivals Ajax in recent times, but they have benefited from a host of talented players over the years.

Like many European clubs, however, PSV have typically been forced to sell their biggest stars to wealthier clubs and this has resulted in several eye-catching departures.

Below, FootballTransfers lists PSV's 10 biggest sales ever.

10. Noa Lang - €25m (to Napoli, 2025)

Noa Lang joined this list when he completed a €25m switch from PSV to Napoli during the 2025 summer transfer window.

Big things were expected of Lang in Serie A, after an impressive two-year stint at PSV, however he struggled to settle in Naples and was loaned to Galatasaray in January 2026.

9. Ruud van Nistelrooy - €28.5m (to Man Utd, 2001)

Ruud van Nistelrooy is one of the greatest strikers in football history and it was at PSV that he launched his career on the global stage.

Van Nistelrooy had impressed during his sole season at Heerenveen, however his stock rose dramatically after scoring 77 goals in 90 games for PSV.

Man Utd decided to pay €28.5m to sign the Dutchman in 2001 and he eventually racked up 150 goals in 219 Man Utd appearances, before joining Real Madrid in July 2006.

8. Steven Bergwijn - €30m (to Tottenham, 2020)

Steven Bergwijn is one of PSV’s best recent academy graduates, with the Dutchman going on to make 149 first-team appearances, having arrived at the club aged 13.

Tottenham spent €30m to land the PSV winger in January 2020, but he never hit the heights expected of him, despite scoring on his debut, and was sold to Ajax in July 2022 before moving to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad in 2024.

7. Donyell Malen - €30m (to Borussia Dortmund, 2021)

Donyell Malen joined PSV from Arsenal’s academy in 2017 and he proved to be a superbly astute signing by the Eredivisie giants.

He went on to score 55 goals in 116 games for PSV, before Borussia Dortmund decided to pay €30m to sign him in 2021. Malen eventually moved to Aston Villa in January 2025, before joining AS Roma one year later.

6. Memphis Depay - €34m (to Man Utd, 2015)

Memphis Depay was one of the world’s most exciting youngsters before he joined Manchester United, with the Dutchman bursting onto the scene at PSV.

A tricky left winger at the time, Depay registered 36 goal contributions in 40 games during his final season at PSV, but things didn’t go as planned at Old Trafford.

The Netherlands star never established himself as first-choice, and despite subsequently shining for Lyon, he also failed to flourish at both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, and he eventually moved to Brazilian side Corinthians.

5. Malik Tillman - €35m (to Bayer Leverkusen, 2025)

Malik Tillman became PSV's fifth record sale when he completed a €35m move to Bayer Leverkusen in 2025.

The Bundesliga outfit were searching for a new attacking midfielder following the sale of Florian Wirtz to Liverpool and they opted to sign Tillman after he notched 44 goals and assists in 73 games for PSV.

The USMNT international only spent one season as a permanent PSV player, having initially arrived on loan from Bayern Munich, and they turned a huge profit after signing him for just €12m.

4. Ibrahim Sangare - €35m (to Nottingham Forest, 2023)

Ibrahim Sangare spent three years at PSV and he was continuously linked with a move to Chelsea during his stint in the Netherlands.

However, Nottingham Forest eventually won the race for his signature, paying €35m to sign him in 2023.

Sangare left PSV with 140 appearances, 15 goals and five trophies under his belt.

3. Noni Madueke - €35m (to Chelsea, 2023)

Noni Madueke made the bold choice to leave Tottenham Hotspur aged 16, but his decision paid off as he rose to prominence at PSV.

Injuries hampered his time in Eindhoven, however Madueke emerged as one of Europe’s top winger prospects during his spell in the Eredivisie and Chelsea opted to spend €35m on him in January 2023.

After a promising stint at Stamford Bridge, Madueke was sold to London rivals Arsenal in 2025.

2. Cody Gakpo - €42m (to Liverpool, 2023)

Liverpool decided to splash €42m on Cody Gakpo following his performances for the Netherlands at the 2022 World Cup.

Man Utd were also linked with a move, but Gakpo left his boyhood club to move to Anfield instead.

The Dutchman tallied 55 goals in 159 games for PSV, while he helped the club win four major honours.

1. Hirving Lozano - €50m (to Napoli, 2019)

Hirving Lozano became PSV’s most expensive sale of all time when he joined Napoli for a whopping €50m in 2019.

The Mexican winger had notched 56 goal contributions in 59 Eredivisie games for PSV and he earned himself a big-money move to Serie A off the back of his form in the Netherlands.

Lozano spent four years at Napoli, helping them win the Scudetto for the first time in 33 years, before returning to PSV for €15m in 2023.
