The 2023-24 season was a fantastic one for Inter Milan, at least on the domestic front.

The Nerazzurri surged to the Scudetto, blowing away the rest of Serie A in what eventually became a one-horse race.

However, having reached the 2022-23 final, Inter disappointed in the Champions League as they fell to a shock penalty shootout defeat to Atletico Madrid in the last-16.

Tanner Tessmann (Venezia)

Despite already signing Piotr Zielinski on a free transfer from Napoli, Inter are in talks with Venezia over young American midfielder Tanner Tessmann.

The 22-year-old has been a regular in Serie B and Inter believe that he could eventually make the step up to Serie A.

According to Fabrizio Romano, an agreement has already been reached. Tessmann is expected to remain with Venezia on loan for another season, while Gaetano Oristanio is also heading to Venice.

Josep Martinez (Genoa)

Inter signed Yann Sommer from Bayern Munich last summer and the Swiss No.1 did an excellent job in his first season in Milan. However, the shot-stopper is in his mid-30s and, therefore, the Nerazzurri are looking to the future.

Genoa goalkeeper Josep Martinez has been the subject of a protracted transfer saga but finally looks to be closing in on a move to the San Siro.

Inter have reached an agreement with their Serie A counterparts and it is thought that Martinez has already completed his medical ahead of a €15m transfer.

Albert Gudmundsson (Genoa)

It is possible that Inter could sign not one but two Genoa stars this summer.

Albert Gudmundsson is very much liked by Inter after a breakout season in Serie A.

The Iceland star can play in a two-man attack, as a winger or an attacking midfielder, and was one of the best players in the league this past season.

However, with Genoa asking for €30 million, this price tag may scare Inter off. There is also interest from other big Serie A and Premier League clubs.

Dan Ndoye (Bologna)

One of the breakout stars of Euro 2024, Dan Ndoye could be the latest high-profile transfer completed purely on the basis of good performances at a major competition.

The winger put up very underwhelming numbers at high-flying Bologna in 2024/25 but that has not stopped Inter from enquiring about the 23-year-old.

The former Lausanne and Nice man - both clubs are owned by INEOS - has also been the subject of tentative links with Man Utd.

Mario Hermoso (Atletico Madrid)

Inter are also in the market for a centre-back and after missing out on the expensive Alessandro Buongiorno could opt to go for a cheaper option.

Mario Hermoso is available on a free transfer this summer as his Atletico Madrid contract has expired.

Hermoso has interest from a number of clubs in Italy and around Europe so there will be lots of competition.

But Inter have shown in recent years to regularly shop in the Bosman transfer market.
