Khvicha Kvaratskhelia confirms transfer stance amid Arsenal and Chelsea interest
Paris Saint-Germain superstar Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has insisted that he is happy at the club following rumours he could leave ahead of the 2026-27 season.
The 25-year-old only moved to the Parc des Princes last January, but he has already been linked with an exit after reports in the French media suggested he is currently at odds with a number of his PSG team-mates.
This has led to renewed transfer speculation, with Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea both reportedly keeping close tabs on Kvaratskhelia’s situation in France ahead of a potential pursuit this summer.
Both clubs are expected to pursue a new left winger later this year, and it’s reported that Kvaratskhelia is on their radar, alongside fellow PSG star Bradley Barcola, who has also been tipped to depart Luis Enrique’s side.
However, Kvaratskhelia has now poured cold water on rumours suggesting he is discontent at PSG, with a move to the Premier League extremely unlikely to occur as a result.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia happy at PSG
Speaking to Le Parisien ahead of PSG’s Champions League last-16 first-leg clash versus Chelsea on Wednesday evening, Kvaratskhelia was asked about his future at the Parc des Princes amid rumours of a potential exit.
“Paris, for me, is truly incredible,” he said. “You have everything here, and on top of that, it’s the city of love. When PSG called me, I think my wife was the happiest person in the world.
“Before PSG contacted me, she always said: ‘Imagine if we played for PSG one day, it would be incredible to live there.’ I would reply: ‘Yes, of course.’ But in my mind, I thought it was very difficult to go there when there were such amazing players like [Lionel] Messi, Neymar and [Kylian] Mbappe.
“I love Paris, I love everything about Paris. The more I think about it, the more I appreciate how respectful people are. When you go out, they don't bother you much. At a restaurant, for example, they ask before taking a photo. I really like that. It's the best city to stroll around in with your wife.”
Despite rumoured interest from Arsenal and Chelsea, Kvaratskhelia is evidently happy at PSG and an exit is therefore unlikely to take place this summer, especially as his current contract isn’t due to expire until 2029.
