Kylian Mbappe is once again angry at PSG, with the superstar forward unhappy with results at the start of the season, according to Madrid-based Defensa Central.

Mbappe was part of the PSG team that was held to a scoreless draw against Clermont on Saturday, meaning that the defending Ligue 1 champions have gotten off to their worst league start statistically since the beginning of the QSI era more than a decade ago.

Through seven matches of the season, PSG have won only three games, leaving them fifth in the table, two points behind co-leaders Monaco and Brest.

At the weekend, meanwhile, Luis Enrique’s side were held to a scoreless draw against an opponent that started the weekend at the foot of the table.

According to Defensa Central, Real Madrid have received word that Mbappe was furious in the locker room after the game.

“The forward exploded in the locker room after this new setback for the Luis Enrique era, and it is not the first time that he has been seen angry with what is happening at Parc des Princes,” the report goes.

Of course, this report points to Mbappe joining Real Madrid as a free agent next summer, when his contract with PSG expires.

This has long been rumoured. Mbappe was constantly linked with the Bernabeu club during the summer transfer window, when his relationship with PSG deteriorated to such an extent that he was frozen out of the first team for the opening match of the Ligue 1 season.

He has insisted on seeing out his PSG contract, though, and the Ligue 1 club are still hopeful he signs a new deal to deny Real Madrid their star man.

What is Mbappe thinking?

This report, though, should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Although Mbappe had fallen out with PSG over the summer, these wounds have healed to some extent, aided by the recruitment of players that the France superstar wants to play alongside.

Ousmane Dembele, for example, is one of the stars that Mbappe wanted at the club, although the winger has made a somewhat disappointing start since joining from Barcelona in the summer.

Furthermore, the overall message coming from PSG currently is one of positivity. Although there have been setbacks in terms of results, the project is now one with a longer-term vision to install a certain playing style to the team, and there is little doubt that Luis Enrique is succeeding in doing this, even if this transition is a little slow.

Mbappe, meanwhile, has given little away with regards his thought process to his future. Real Madrid still looks the likeliest option, but staying at PSG remains on the table.
