Out of contract in 2024: The best free agents available on a Bosman

There are now just two and a half months to go until European footballers on expiring deals see their contracts run out in July 2024.

This means that all such players are now able to negotiate a Bosman Transfer to a new club ahead of a potential free transfer move.

The biggest name who will be available for a free transfer is Kylian Mbappe, the PSG superstar regarded by many as the best player in the world.

Mbappe is certain to join Real Madrid on a Bosman Transfer after years of nearly moving to the Spanish capital. PSG boss Luis Enrique has publicly stated that Mbappe will leave and the player himself says that an announcement on his future will be made before Euro 2024.

In the Premier League, big names such as Jorginho, Raphael Varane, Anthony Martial and Thiago Alcantara see their deals run out. Martial and Varane are certain to leave Man Utd, with the same the case for Thiago at Liverpool. Jorginho's future is more in the balance, with there being a one-year option to extend his deal.

In Spain, Real Madrid legend Luka Modric is on an expiring deal. The Croatian will decide at or near the end of the season whether to sign another one-year extension. Barcelona, meanwhile, have confirmed that Marcos Alonso will leave the club, with Atletico Madrid favourites to sign him.

In Italy, Adrien Rabiot and Piotr Zielinski are the standout stars who could be available for nothing. Rabiot will wait until closer to the end of the season to make a decision. Zielinski is expected to join Inter on a free transfer and was left out of Napoli's Champions League squad for the knockout stages as punishment. Mehdi Taremi of Porto, is set to move to Inter on a free transfer, also. AC Milan's Olivier Giroud could move to the MLS on a free transfer.

In Germany, Mats Hummels and Marco Reus are two veteran legends who are on expiring contracts.
