Real Madrid's FIRST 2026 signing confirmed
Real Madrid officials believe that Nico Paz’s return to the club is now a done deal, according to reports in Spain.
The Argentina international left Los Blancos to join Como for a transfer fee of €6 million in 2024, but the Spanish giants opted to include a bargain buy-back clause in the deal in order to bring him back to the Bernabeu at their convenience.
Paz is available to rejoin Real Madrid for €9m next summer, while that fee will rise to €10m if they wait until 2027.
However, Spanish publication Fichajes have confirmed that Real Madrid believe Paz will 100% return to the Bernabeu following the conclusion of the current campaign.
The 15-time Champions League winners are working on the final details of his contract and they will shortly announce the return of the 21-year-old following an extremely successful stint in Italy.
Paz registered 15 goal contributions in 35 appearances during his debut season at Como last year and he has already amassed five goals and five assists in 15 Serie A games so far this term as he continues to excel under Cesc Fabregas.
He has attracted significant interest from a host of top Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, however Paz has set his sights on returning to Real Madrid and establishing himself as a key player for Los Blancos.
Real Madrid’s transfer plan revealed
While Paz is set to arrive at Real Madrid next summer, several Los Blancos players have been linked with an exit in order to make room for the Argentina wonderkid.
Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo have both been tipped to leave the club in 2026 amid rumours of discontent with head coach Xabi Alonso, while Brahim Diaz is perhaps the most logical departure with regards to Paz’s imminent arrival.
In addition, the club have already agreed a deal to send Endrick on loan to Lyon for the remainder of the current season due to his lack of game time so far this term.
