Arsenal and Chelsea are chasing a deal for Lille wonderkid Ayyoub Bouaddi, but a move to PSG is the most likely outcome, according to a report.

The 18-year-old has become one of the most sought-after young players in Ligue 1. Bouaddi has been starring for Lille since the age of 17, which has naturally seen him attract Premier League attention.

In recent weeks, Arsenal, in particular, have been linked with the midfielder. It was suggested that he could already be on the move as early as January, but he quickly shut down these rumours by extending his contract with Lille.

That, however, has done little to stop the speculation. Bouaddi himself opened the door to a potential summer transfer when speaking to the French press shortly after his extension, and it is expected that he will be on the move in six months.

Earlier on Monday, reports surfaced claiming that Chelsea would look to launch a January bid for Bouaddi despite his extension. The Blues want to get ahead of the competition, chiefly Arsenal and Man Utd, but whether they will be successful is doubtful.

Bouaddi set for PSG?

Indeed, according to TEAMtalk, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd may all come away from this transfer race empty-handed. That is because PSG are deemed the teenager's most likely destination.

The Parisians have shifted their transfer model from foreign superstars to domestic talent, and Bouaddi is the latest player they have fixed their gaze on. "Multiple sources" have informed the outlet that PSG are in the driver's seat for the 18-year-old.

The reigning European champions have initiated the "most concrete discussions" and appear to be well-placed to secure the signature of Bouaddi, having already snapped up former Lille teammate Lucas Chevalier in the summer.

It is claimed that Les Dogues are holding out for a sizeable fee in the region of €60 million. Real Madrid are also said to be monitoring Bouaddi's situation.
