The 25 most valuable players in the world revealed
The finances involved in modern football have reached an almost insane level, with clubs frequently splashing out hundreds of millions on new signings without any issues.
As such, the best players from across the globe are now valued at huge fees by their clubs and they unsurprisingly boast eye-watering Estimated Transfer Values (ETV).
ETV is a market-leading transfer valuation algorithm designed and developed by Dutch data company SciSports, in partnership with FootballTransfers.
A player’s ETV is calculated by a variety of factors, namely: player age, player position, player performance, player experience, league strength and contract situation.
Below, FootballTransfers runs through the top 25 most valuable players in the world.
Who are the most valuable players in world football?
25. Rodri (Man City) - €90.5m
2024 Ballon d’Or winner Rodri is the 25th most valuable player in the world with an ETV of €90.5m.
He has suffered several injuries over the past year, however he remains a class act and his value will rise if he extends his current Man City contract, which is due to expire in 2027.
24. Vinicius Junior (Real Madrid) - €91.9m
Vinicius Junior has seen his form dip since an excellent 2023-24 campaign and his ETV has unsurprisingly fallen below the €100m mark as a result.
His current contract at Real Madrid is also due to expire in 2027 and this is a key reason why his value is currently at its lowest for over four years.
23. Michael Olise (Bayern Munich) - €95.9m
Michael Olise was excellent during his time at Crystal Palace, but his status and value has skyrocketed since joining Bayern Munich last summer.
After an outstanding start to the new season, his ETV now stands at a career high of €95.9m.
22. Desire Doue (PSG) - €96.8m
Desire Doue was the breakout star of the 2024-25 season and he was a worthy winner of the Golden Boy award in early November.
The France international is a key member of Luis Enrique’s PSG squad and his burgeoning reputation has earned him a stellar ETV that falls just short of €100m.
21. Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) - €97.5m
Bukayo Saka is one of the best players in world football, but his ETV has fallen below the €100m mark for the first time since 2023, likely due to a few recent injury problems and the fact he has less than two years remaining on his current contract.
However, Saka is locked in advanced negotiations over a new deal with Arsenal and his ETV will likely rise back over €100m when that is finalised.
20. Ousmane Dembele (PSG) - €98.8m
Ousmane Dembele’s impressive form since the start of last season has seen his ETV rise to the highest figure of his entire career - €98.8m.
The 2025 Ballon d’Or winner has suffered an injury-hit start to the new Ligue 1 campaign, but he remains an integral player for both PSG and France.
19. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (PSG) - €100.4m
Despite Dembele’s recent form, his ETV stands slightly below fellow PSG winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
The Georgia superstar moved to the Parc des Princes for a fee of €70m in January and his value has risen well beyond that figure following a fantastic few months with the Parisians.
18. Pedri (Barcelona) - €102.9m
Barcelona midfield maestro Pedri is in 18th place on this list amid months of consistent performances for Hansi Flick’s side.
The Spaniard’s ETV has dropped from a peak of €144.6m in May, but it still stands at over €100m.
17. Raphinha (Barcelona) - €104.3m
Raphinha struggled during the first few months of his Barcelona career, however he enjoyed a spectacular 2024-25 season and this has helped him establish himself as one of the world’s best players.
It’s therefore no surprise that his ETV of €104.3m secures him a prominent spot on the list of the most valuable footballers on the planet.
16. Ryan Gravenberch (Liverpool) - €106m
Ryan Gravenberch is currently the 16th most valuable player in world football following his stellar development under Arne Slot.
The Dutchman was a bit-part player during his first season at Liverpool, but he is now one of the first names on the teamsheet for good reason.
15. Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid) - €110.3m
Jude Bellingham’s ETV has been over €100m since 2023 and it’s unlikely it will dip below that mark anytime soon.
The ex-Borussia Dortmund star remains an integral member of Real Madrid’s first-team squad and he is expected to play a key role for England at the 2026 World Cup.
14. Cole Palmer (Chelsea) - €111m
Cole Palmer’s ETV has increased dramatically since his move to Chelsea, although it has stagnated between €110m and €120m over the past eight months amid a slight goal drought in the Premier League and his current groin injury.
However, he was a worthy inclusion in the FIFPro World XI and his ETV will undoubtedly rise once again if he returns to full fitness soon.
13. Vitinha (PSG) - €111.3m
In 2021, Vitinha was struggling to break into the starting XI at Wolves. Fast forward to 2025 and he’s one of the best midfielders in world football, having finished third in the Ballon d’Or.
He is also the most valuable player in a star-studded PSG team thanks to an ETV of €111.3m.
12. Federico Valverde (Real Madrid) - €114.1m
Federico Valverde has been a crucial player for Real Madrid since the 2019-20 season and he has already racked up over 300 first-team appearances for Los Blancos.
The Uruguayan has been integral to their success over the past few years and his ETV of €114.1m is therefore no surprise.
11. Moises Caicedo (Chelsea) - €114.1m
After a slow start at Chelsea, Moises Caicedo is now one of the best players in the Premier League and his ETV of €114.1m reflects that.
The Ecuador star has seen his value increase by a whopping €34.7m since October following a stellar month at Chelsea.
10. Declan Rice (Arsenal) - €114.8m
Declan Rice is arguably in the form of his life and it’s therefore no surprise that he is one of the top 10 most valuable players in the world.
His €116.6m transfer fee looked excessive at the time, but he’s made it look like a bargain.
9. Alexis Mac Allister (Liverpool) - €117m
Alexis Mac Allister may be a surprise inclusion in ninth place, however he was superb during Liverpool’s Premier League triumph last season and he still has over two-and-a-half years remaining on his current contract.
His €117m ETV will likely drop over the next year if Liverpool don’t tie him down to a new deal, however.
8. Kylian Mbappe (Real Madrid) - €119.8m
Kylian Mbappe has been one of the best players in world football for the best part of a decade and he has enjoyed a stellar start to the new season.
He has 18 goals in 16 Real Madrid games so far this term and his ETV of €119.8m is likely to increase in December.
7. Julian Alvarez (Atletico Madrid) - €121.5m
Julian Alvarez was a regular during his time at Man City, but he certainly wasn’t the star player at the Etihad Stadium.
However, he is the main man at Atletico Madrid and his ETV now stands at a career peak of €121.5m amid significant interest from Barcelona.
6. Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich) - €128.8m
Jamal Musiala hasn’t played since he suffered a dislocated ankle and a fractured fibula at the Club World Cup this summer, but he remains one of the most valuable players in the world.
The Bayern Munich star has an ETV of €128.8m and this has remained fairly constant for well over a year.
5. Alexander Isak (Liverpool) - €132.1m
After scoring 23 goals in 34 Premier League appearances for Newcastle last season, it won’t come as a shock that Alexander Isak features prominently as one of the most valuable players in the world.
He has started slowly since joining Liverpool for a British record transfer fee, but goals will surely start flowing soon.
4. Pau Cubarsi (Barcelona) - €136.2m
Barcelona wonderkid Pau Cubarsi is the fourth-most valuable player in world football with an ETV of €136.2m.
The Spain superstar has already racked up over 90 first-team appearances for Barcelona, despite being just 18 years old, and he is expected to enjoy a stellar career at the highest level.
3. Florian Wirtz (Liverpool) - €138.1m
Like the aforementioned Isak, fellow summer signing Florian Wirtz has also struggled at Liverpool and he is yet to nail down a guaranteed spot in the Reds’ first-choice starting XI.
But, his form at Bayer Leverkusen means he is still regarded as one of the most talented players in the world and his ETV reflects that status.
2. Erling Haaland (Man City) - €150.4m
The second-most valuable player in the world is Man City superstar Erling Haaland, with an ETV of €150.4m.
The Norway international has scored over 140 goals for Guardiola’s side, while his ETV is also boosted by the fact his current contract doesn’t expire until 2034.
1. Lamine Yamal (Barcelona) - €182.6m
Lamine Yamal is the most valuable player in world football. The Barcelona winger has established himself as a global superstar over the past two years and his ETV now stands at a whopping €182.6m.
He is expected to retain top spot for the foreseeable future as he continues to star for Barcelona and Spain.
