Barcelona tipped to receive €350m Lamine Yamal offer
Paris Saint-Germain view Barcelona superstar Lamine Yamal as “the signing of the century” and are ready to submit a €350 million offer for the 18-year-old, according to reports in Spain.
Yamal, 18, has established himself as one of the world’s best players over the past two years and PSG are eager to finalise a blockbuster deal that would break the internet in a similar fashion to their capture of Neymar in 2017.
The Spain international finished runner-up in the 2025 Ballon d’Or ranking, behind PSG forward Ousmane Dembele, and Luis Enrique’s side are hopeful of reaching an agreement to bring him to the Parc des Princes in 2026.
That is according to Spanish publication Fichajes, who claim that a world record offer of €350m is being prepared by the reigning Ligue 1 champions.
The aforementioned Neymar is currently the most expensive player in football history, courtesy of his €222m move from Barcelona to PSG, and Yamal would therefore smash that record if the Parisians are successful.
However, the Spain international signed a new six-year contract at Camp Nou in May and the deal includes a release clause worth a whopping €1 billion. As a result, an exit is incredibly unlikely.
Barcelona’s transfer plans
While Barcelona won’t sanction a sale of Yamal next year, several current stars could be set to depart Hansi Flick’s side in 2026.
Ronald Araujo and Marc Casado have both been heavily linked with exits in recent months, while Chelsea have been tipped to rekindle their interest in Fermin Lopez following their failed move this summer.
The Blues have also been touted as possible suitors for Barcelona defender Eric Garcia, who is into the final year of his current contract at Camp Nou.
Meanwhile, the Blaugrana are expected to sign Marcus Rashford on a permanent deal in 2026 following the conclusion of his loan spell from Manchester United.
