Vinicius Jr placed on Real Madrid transfer list
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has decided to sell Vinicius Junior at the end of the 2025-26 season, according to a bombshell report in Spain.
Vinicius, 25, has been heavily linked with a Santiago Bernabeu exit in recent months and Los Blancos have reportedly decided to place him on the transfer list ahead of the 2026 summer window.
Kylian Mbappe is now the undisputed superstar attacker at Real Madrid, and new boss Xabi Alonso even opted against selecting Vinicius in his starting XI for Los Blancos’ first Champions League fixture of the season last week.
The Brazil international has still registered three goals and four assists in eight appearances across all competitions so far this campaign, however the aforementioned Perez has decided to pursue a sale next year.
That is according to Spanish publication Fichajes, who claim that his “lack of attitude and preoccupation with off-field issues have been determining factors in this decision.”
Furthermore, Real Madrid are unwilling to match Vinicius’ salary demands, as exclusively revealed by The Transfers Podcast in March, and talks over a new contract have stalled as a result.
The Brazilian has less than two years remaining on his current deal at the Santiago Bernabeu and the Spanish giants are now seemingly eager to grant a sale amid huge interest from multiple clubs in Saudi Arabia.
Vinicius Jr offer
Fichajes have also reported that a €200 million offer from Al-Hilal has been received by Real Madrid.
The Saudi Pro League club have identified Vinicius as their dream marquee signing for 2026 and they are prepared to break their transfer record to bring him to the Middle East next summer.
It would also represent a record sale for Real Madrid and it’s understood that Alonso’s side would accept a transfer in order to free up funds to bolster the remainder of their playing squad.
